Oromucosal administration is an attractive non-invasive route. However, drug absorption is challenged by salivary flow and the mucosa being a significant permeability barrier. The aim of this study was to design and investigate a multi-layered nanofiber-on-foam-on-film (NFF) drug delivery system with unique properties and based on polysaccharides combined as i) mucoadhesive chitosan-based nanofibers, ii) a peptide loaded hydroxypropyl methylcellulose foam, and iii) a saliva-repelling backing film based on ethylcellulose.

In this study established the methodology to isolate highly virulent bacteriophage and assessed the ability of this phage lysate to induce protection against wild-type challenge in mice and the natural host chickens. Subcutaneous administration of phage lysate to mice stimulated significant protection against Pasteurella multocida P52 and A1 serotypes. But, significantly phage lysate was able to induce protection through subcutaneous route against challenge with wild type Pasteurella multocida A1 serotype in chicken but not through intranasal administration of phage lysates

Chemotherapy via oral route of anticancer drugs offers much convenience and compliance to patients. However, oral chemotherapy has been challenged by limited absorption due to poor drug solubility and intestinal efflux. In this study, we aimed to develop a nanosuspension formulation of oridonin (Odn) using its cyclodextrin inclusion complexes to enhance oral bioavailability. Nanosuspensions containing Odn/2 hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin inclusion complexes (Odn-CICs) were prepared by a solvent evaporation followed by wet media milling technique.

The effect of oral administration of probiotic, biogut on growth, survival, and immuno response and disease resistance against white muscle disease was examined in freshwater prawn, M. rosenbergii. Biogut was administered to prawn through the diet at 1%, 1.5% and 2.0% body weight/day for a period of 90-day in recirculatary rearing system. The prawns were sampled on 90 day and challenged with white muscle disease virus, which is highly potential disease to prawn through injection route at 50 μl / juvenile.

To overcome the challenge, this paper presents an investigation on jointly optimal joint routing, scheduling, channel assignment and power control in multi-radio multi-channel wireless mesh networks using a MAC layer based on Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA). In which, a discrete fashion of power control and physical interference model is considered to find out an optimal solution for given rate demands. The computation complexity is reduced by applying the column generation algorithm in the optimize problem.

There are many routing protocols proposed for WSNs to deal with challenges such as energy depletion and latency of data transmission from nodes to base station. Recently, researchers have focused on Chain-based protocols. CCBRP (Chain-Chain Based Routing Protocol) tries to decrease both energy consumption and latency time, but it has some challenges such as randomness in choosing of chain leaders and not supporting of any fault tolerant mechanism. Due to energy depletion and mobility of nodes, nodes failure is unavoidable in WSNs.

We demonstrate a web-based environment for development and testing of different pedestrian route instruction-giving systems. The environment contains a City Model, a TTS interface, a game-world, and a user GUI including a simulated street-view. We describe the environment and components, the metrics that can be used for the evaluation of pedestrian route instruction-giving systems, and the shared challenge which is being organised using this environment.
