Cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, and prednisolone (CHOP)/CHOP-like chemotherapy is widely used in peripheral T cell lymphoma (PTCL). Here we conducted a phase 2, multicenter, randomized, controlled trial, comparing the efficacy and safety of CEOP/IVE/GDP alternating regimen with CEOP in newly diagnosed PTCL.

Gastric cancer (GC) remains among the most common and most lethal cancers worldwide. Peritoneum is the most common site for distant dissemination. Standard treatment for GC peritoneal metastases (PM) is a systemic therapy, but treatment outcomes remain very poor, with median overall survival ranging between 3-9 months.

Soft tissue sarcomas (STS) are a rare type of malignancy comprising a variety of histological diagnoses. Chemotherapy constitutes the standard treatment for advanced STS. Doxorubicin-based regimens, which include the administration of doxorubicin alone or in combination with ifosfamide or dacarbazine, are widely accepted as first-line chemotherapy for advanced STS.

Melanoma is the most aggressive type of skin cancer with high rates of mortality. Despite encouraging advances demonstrated by anticancer drug carriers in recent years, developing ideal drug delivery systems to target tumor microenvironment by overcoming physiological barriers and chemotherapy side effects still remain intimidating challenges.

Pegylated liposomal doxorubicin (PLD) is an improved formulation of doxorubicin with comparable effectiveness but significantly lower cardiotoxicity than conventional anthracycline. This study aimed to evaluate the real-world effectiveness and safety of PLD versus epirubicin as neoadjuvant or adjuvant treatment for breast cancer.

One of the most challenging problems in colorectal cancer (CRC) is resistance to chemotherapy drugs such as doxorubicin (DOX). The programmed death ligand-1 (PD-L1) is related to chemoresistance and is overexpressed in several human cancer cell types. Here, we investigated the changes in the expression of PD-L1 in DOX-treated CRC and breast cancer (BRC) cells. Also, to address PD-L1 regulation, we assessed expression levels of miR-140 and miR-34a, two microRNAs that can target the 3’ UTR region of the gene encoding PD-L1.

Use of nanoparticles as drug carrier vectors has great potential to circumvent the limitations associated with chemotherapy, including drug resistance and destructive side effects. For this purpose, magnetic generation 4 dendrimeric nanoparticles were prepared to carry chemotherapeutic agent doxorubicin (G4 -DOX) and immune modulator polyinosinic:polycytidylic acid [Poly(I:C)]. As previously reported, DOX and Poly(I:C) was loaded onto G4 nanoparticles (PIC-G4 -DOX).

The methods used to treat TVT are cryosurgery, radiotherapy, surgical resection and antineoplastic chemotherapy that is the protocol of choice in routine clinical treatment. Antineoplastic treatment may combine two or more chemotherapeutic agents (for example, vincristine and cyclophosphamide combined with methotrexate), or it can involve a single agent as vincristine (in which case is most effective or doxorubicin).

The objective of this Phase I dose escalation study was to explore the safety and tolerability of eltrombopag, an oral, nonpeptide, thrombopoietin receptor agonist, in patients with advanced soft tissue sarcoma (STS) and thrombocytopenia due to treatment with doxorubicin and ifosfamide (AI) combination chemotherapy.

This study evaluated the efficacy and safety of S-1 combined with docetaxel (SD) following doxorubicin plus cyclophosphamide (AC) as neoadjuvant therapy in patients with HER2-negative, stage II-III breast cancer. Methods: Patients received AC every 3 weeks for four cycles followed by S-1 (30 mg/m2 orally b.i.d. on days 1–14) and docetaxel (75 mg/m2 i.v. on day 1) every 3 weeks for four cycles.

Lipegfilgrastim is a novel glyco-pegylated granulocyte-colony stimulating factor in development for neutropenia prophylaxis in cancer patients receiving chemotherapy. This phase III, double-blind, randomized, active-controlled, noninferiority trial compared the efficacy and safety of lipegfilgrastim versus pegfilgrastim in chemotherapy-naïve breast cancer patients receiving doxorubicin/docetaxel chemotherapy.

Current guidelines recommend anthracycline-based chemotherapy primarily with doxorubicin either as monotherapy or in combination with ifosfamide as the first-line treatment for most advanced STS subtypes. Therapeutic options after failure of doxorubicin and/or ifosfamide are limited.

Current treatment of diffuse-large-B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) includes rituximab, an expensive drug, combined with cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, and prednisone (CHOP) chemotherapy. Economic models have predicted rituximab plus CHOP (RCHOP) to be a cost-effective alternative to CHOP alone as first-line treatment of DLBCL, but it remains unclear what its real-world costs and cost-effectiveness are in routine clinical practice.

Present study was conducted at TVCC, LUVAS, Hisar on Twenty-four dogs irrespective of age, breed, sex affected with canine transmissible venereal tumour (TVT). Affected dogs were divided equally into three groups on the basis of treatment with chemotherapeutic drugs viz. vincristine therapy (Group I) and doxorubicin therapy (Group II and III). Vomition, diarrhea, alopecia, allergic nodules and stomatitis were adverse effects of chemotherapy in TVT affected dogs.
