Chickens per each replication

The biological experiment was carried out with Three hundred commercial sexed, one day-old, broiler chicks that were randomly grouped into six treatments with five replicates for each treatment and containing ten chicks per replicate. The chicks were reared from day-old to thirty five days of age in deep litter system in a gable roofed, open sided poultry house. All the chicks were reared under standard management conditions throughout the experimental period.

Three hundred and sixty numbers of day old desi chicks were randomly divided into six treatment groups with three replicates of 20 chicks each per group. Out of 180 desi chicks were reared under deep litter system and remaining 180 chicks were reared under cage system. The experimental birds were fed with three different levels of dietary crude protein (18, 20 and 22 per cent) with an isocaloric feed of 2800 Kcal ME / kg and potable water given ad libitum.

A biological study was conducted to determine the effects of dietary supplementation of different levels of rare earth elements (lanthanum and cerium) on blood biochemical parameters namely calcium, phosphorus, total protein, albumin and globulin in laying hens. A total of 96 White Leghorn laying hens of 52 weeks of age were used in 8-week feeding trial. Birds were randomly allotted to three dietary treatments each with four replicates and 8 hens per replicate.

The present experiment was conducted to study the effect of feeding fermented dried feed with avian specific Lactobacillus species and Bacillus subtilis in broiler birds. Two hundred and fifty one day old mixed sex commercial (Venn Cobb) broiler chicks were randomly distributed into five groups (Gr 1, Gr 2, Gr 3, Gr 4 and Gr 5) of 50 birds each by following completely randomized block design. Each group, comprised of five replicated pens (n=5) and each replicate contained ten broiler chickens.

A Pilot study was conducted to find out the level of CoQ10 inclusion in broiler diet to bring about better performance and conducted during the period from November to December. Fifty numbers of day old broiler straight run chicks were wing banded, weighed and randomly allotted to five groups of ten chicks each based on the body weight. The treatments include, 20mg, 40mg, 60mg, 80mg, 100mg of CoQ10/kg diet.

The present research was conducted to study the effect of organic acids with probiotic supplementation on immunity and blood biochemical status of broiler chicken. A total number of 300 birds were reared for a period of forty two days with dietary treatments; T0 - control diet as per BIS (2007), T1 - control + sodium diformate @ 0.2%, T2 - control + sodium diformate @ 0.2 + probiotic @0.02%, T3 - control + blends of organic acids @0.2%, T4 - control + blends of organic acids @0.2% + probiotic @0.02%.

In this study, it was conducted to evaluate the effects of three various physical diet forms (whole pellet, whole crumble, and mix crumble and pellet) on broilers performance. It was performed by using 150 broilers (male and female mix) from commercial Arbor Acres breed in a completely randomized design with 3 diets by 2 replications (25 chickens per each replication).
