The present study was done to evaluate the antifungal susceptibility pattern of Candida species by Disc diffusion method which is helpful for guiding therapy. All clinical samples sent to the Microbiology laboratory were inoculated on to Blood agar and MacConkey agar. The suspected colonies of Candida were identified by Gram stain and inoculated onto CHROM Candida differential agar for speciation.

Immune-compromised patients have lead to rise in infections caused by Candida albicans and by Non Candida albicans. This study was done with 368 samples from 300 immunocompromised patients. The most common species isolated was C. albicans (42%), followed by C. tropicalis (35%), C. pseudotropicalis (5%), C. krusei (5%), C. glabarata (4%), C. parapsilosis (3%), C. guilliermondii (2%). CHROM agar candida medium was used in identification of Candida species.
