Numerical investigation of optical properties in carbon tetrachloride-filled photonic crystal fibers
In this work, we design circular lattice photonic crystal fibers using Lumerical Mode Solution software, its hollow core filled with carbon tetrachloride. Optical properties including effective refractive index, chromatic dispersion, nonlinearity, and fiber loss were investigated numerically in detail based on solving Maxwell's wave equations.

This paper describes an investigation of fluid flow through two tandem circular cylinders using Lattice-Boltzmann Method in direct numerical simulation. The diameter ratio of two circular cylinders, D1/D2 varies from 0.5 to 1.5, and spacing ratio (L/D2) varies from 1.5 to 10, whereas the Reynolds number of 100 is considered. The numerical model is well validated by comparing the results with those obtained in the literature.

In this study, we developed a fluid flow solver based on the Lattice Boltzmann method to resolve those difficulties. Validation of the solver is performed through two flow problems, including impulsively started flow past a single circular cylinder at Re=3000 and pitching airfoil with large amplitudes and frequencies. The obtained results are in good agreement with the experimental and computational results listed in the references.

We demonstrate in this study that near-zero, ultra-flattened chromatic dispersion can be achieved over a wide range of wavelengths in photonic crystal fibers (PCFs) by means of slight variations in the geometrical parameters of the cladding.

This paper presents new results on dispersion in photonic crystal fibers (PCF) based on a circular lattice, with benzene infiltration into the hollow-core. We achieved near-zero, ultra-flat dispersion through the appropriate adjustment of air hole diameters and pitch of cladding.
