  • Since the reconnection with international financial institutions in 1993, Vietnam has swiftly become one of the main ODA recipients from the international sponsors. ODA has significantly contributed to infrastructure construction, poverty reduction, institutional reforms, economic growth and socio-economic development. This paper examines the main features of ODA in Vietnam during the period 1993-2015, points out some new characteristics of the ODA flows in the middle-income status. It found that the total committed ODA and the level of favor have decreased sharply.
