The preliminary purpose of this study was to investigate how non-English-major first-year students evaluated some aspects of an intensive English course that aimed to improve their English language knowledge and skills. After that course, a total of 453 students participated in the study and completed a self-reported survey questionnaire of 31 items in various types.

Supplementary resource materials are additional but more useful in English language teaching (ELT). The teacher needs to supplement materials to promote motivation, which is one of the key factors influencing learning. However, there is a lack of study what supporting materials the teachers are using in English language classrooms for teaching learning purposes. This paper attempts to explore the supplementary teaching materials selected and used in ELT classrooms of community schools in Nepal. The information was collected through observations, interviews and focus group discussion.

Using digital resources is an important development in the Early Childhood Education (ECE) curriculum in China. Guo and Wang (2005) report that 98% of urban ECE programs have computers with Internet connections, in addition to other technical facilities, which are used daily in ECE classrooms. However, the lack of curriculum-related digital resources and of a network to share them makes it difficult for teachers to share these resources for teaching.

When taking into account individualized learning processes not only content and interaction facilities need to be re-considered, but also the design of learning processes per se. Besides explicitness of learning objectives, interactive means of education need to enable intertwining content and communication elements as basic elements of active learning in a flexible way while preserving a certain structure of the learning process. We do not have number of employees (or computer density per employee) for education and medical facilities. For high schools, where the number of students is known, equipment density per student could be a useful metric if we had surveyed the entire building, which we did not.

In the summer of 2009, Elon renovated the second floor of Powell Building to become the home of the Master of Arts in Interactive Media program. The Powell Interactive Media Suite houses a state-of-the-art computer laboratory/production facility and classroom. It includes five editing suites, a graduate study center, and lounge. The suite also houses DSLR cameras, which shoot still photos and high definition video.
