Research on the morphological characteristics, agronomics, pre-harvest germination resistance, and genetic diversity of some popular rice varieties grown in Binh Dinh province is essential in assessing material resources for selecting and developing new rice varieties that can adapt to climate change. The results show that there is one extra short-day variety, five short-day varieties, and three medium-day varieties.

The first set represented the northern population located in the north of the country. That region is characterized by dry climate conditions. The northern population appeared more diversified and accessions were typically of the bunch type with lower phenological, vegetative and yield traits. The second set was less diversified.

This study was carried out in Mediterranean climate and under rainfed conditions in Turkey for a period of three years throughout the growing seasons of 2014/2015, 2015/2016 and 2016/2017. It was conducted in a randomized complete block experimental design (RCBD) with three replications. In present study, genetic diversity for agro-morphological characters and macro/microelements were investigated in sixteen promising local faba bean genotypes originated from Turkey. According to the results of the study, mean grain yield varied from 2320 kg ha–1 (Tekirdağ-39) to 3130 kg ha–1 (Burdur-50).

Agrocybe aegerita is an agaricomycete fungus with typical mushroom features, which is commercially cultivated for its culinary use. In nature, it is a saprotrophic or facultative pathogenic fungus causing a white-rot of hardwood in forests of warm and mild climate. The ease of cultivation and fructification on solidified media as well as its archetypal mushroom fruit body morphology render A. aegerita a well-suited model for investigating mushroom developmental biology.

The lower section of Ma river system is facing complicated salinization, depending on its morphology, slope, tide regime and the increasing effect of climate change. As a result, for effective exploitation of fresh water (salinity ≤ 1.0‰) it needs to take care of the impact of tide regime on rivers’ salinization. Using data of “History of the tide” of Thanh Hoa Hydrometeorology center in some details to limit damages in water supply for irrigation and living of residents in coastal districts of Nga Son, Hau Loc, Hoang Hoa, Quang Xuong, Sam Son city and Thanh Hoa city

The changing climate adversely affect the morphological characters of plant which, ultimate effect the identification of off types in seed production programme. This also leads to effect the genetic purity in seed production programme. To overcome this problem selection of progeny and its breeding depend upon the genetic variability in population.

Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) form obligate symbiotic association with the roots of crop plants and play a critical role in enhancing plant growth under semi-arid climatic conditions. Present investigation has been taken up to characterize the isolated AM fungal species from rhizosphere soils of different host crops grown across various Zones of Andhra Pradesh. A total of twelve AM fungal spores were characterized based on their morphological traits.

Cultivated sugarcane (Saccharum spp. complex, 2n = 80-120) belongs to the genus Saccharum of the family Poaceae. Sugarcane (Saccharum spp. complex) is an important cash crop of the tropical and subtropical regions of the world for its distinct characteristic of high sugar concentration accumulated in the stalk. Genetic diversity gives species the ability to adapt to changing environments, including new pests and diseases and new climatic conditions.

Variability among isolates of Bipolaris sorokiniana was determined based on conidial morphology. The pathogen was isolated from wheat host from different agro-climatic zones of West Bengal and grown on four different media for investigation of conidial morphology of this pathogen. The size of colony (length and breadth) was increased with increasing incubation period.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the biological efficiency and main bioactive components of three G. lucidum strains, viz. GA1, GA2, and GA3, cultivated in Tam Dao town. The results demonstrated that all strains were capable of growing well on PDA medium supplemented with rice bran. The time required for complete colonization was 9 days. All tested strains of G. lucidum were able to adapt to climate conditions and produce fruiting bodies with satisfactory yield (13-17%), and therefore, they could be considered suitable candidates for commercial cultivation of G. lucidum in Tam Dao.

Phenological studies at different stages of crop growth are important to mitigate the ill effects of climate change to which saffron is very much sensitive and to predict the production system modules involving cultural practices and crop protection systems. Study on phenological growth stages of natural temporal sub-populations of Kashmir saffron (Crocus sativus L.) carried over 2 years revealed that the ontogenesis period of saffron with above ground organs is almost similar to period showing no organs above ground.

An investigation was carried out to isolate plant growth promoting rhizobacteria from (PGPR) the rhizosphere, endorhizosphere and root nodules of green gram soil samples collected from three different agro climatic zones of Karnataka. A total of 29 rhizobial isolates from nodules isolated in that based on morphology and Gram reaction these strains were tentatively grouped as Rhizobium (29). All isolates were evaluated for eight plant growth promotional traits under in vitro. In particularly isolates 2DWRR and 9DWRR fixed respectively 5.07 and 4.46 mg N2 g -1 of carbon utilized respectively.

The ever changing environmental conditions have been faced by plants through evolutionary time, among which drought is considered as the most common having an adverse effect on growth and development of the plants which is one of the major constraints on plant productivity worldwide and is expected to increase with climatic changes. The symbiotic relationship between arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) fungi and the roots of higher plants is widespread in nature.
