We describe the experiences in diagnosis and results of treatment in pediatric Castleman disease. From 2016 to 2019, we had 7 cases of pediatric Castleman disease: 3 boys and 4 girl. The median age at diagnosis was 147 months (121-173 months). Clinical manifestations were found in five cases.

Whitmore disease, alsocalled melioidosis, is an emerging infection in Vietnam after the heavy flood in 2020 with increasing case reports, mostly in adults but also in children. We report a child with parotid abscess, which is one of the common clinical manifestations in the paediatric population in Vietnam. He was previously healthy.

The patient, a 22-year-old female, was diagnosed with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (an aggressive non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma). The patient had completed 6 cycles of R-CHOP (from March 2018 to July 2018). After that, the patient was re-examined regularly monthly (manifested with moderate and hypochromic anemia, bone marrow aspiration was negative for malignancy).

Leptospirosis is zoonosis, presenting as a febrile illness with protean manifestations. Since disease is amenable to antibiotic therapy, early diagnosis helps in better management and prevention of complications. Schistosomiasis is an endemic disease in Egypt caused by the trematode Schistosoma which has different species. c the best known form of chronic disease with a wide range of clinical manifestations. The pathogenesis of schistosomiasis is related to the host cellular immune response.
