mmune mediated necrotizing myopathy (IMNM) is a sub-type of inflammatory myopathies (IIM) that presents with significant muscle weakness, elevated creatine kinase (CK) levels and histopathological features of muscle fiber necrosis, with and without myositis specific antibodies. The aims of this study was to clarify clinical characteristics and autoimmune antibodies (Ab) of patients with immune-mediated necrotizing myopathy (IMNM) in Vietnamese patients.

Although Cryptococcal infection is worldwide distribution, it is more seen in the immunocompromised patients. Cryptococcus neoformans is the most common central neurvous system fungal pathogen in HIV infected patients. In this paper we present an immunocompromised HIV infected case of C. neoformans meningitis with clinical features and imaging characteristics by MR image.

In this article, we introduce the application of 3D - FLAIR sequence without contrast enhancement on detecting abnormalities of cranial nerve pathology by presenting two cases, acute vestibular neuritis and facial nerve palsy. We suggest that 3D - FLAIR is the relatively useful sequence in detecting cranial nerve pathologies.

Childhood sarcoidosis is a rare multisystemic granulomatous disorder of unknown etiology. The diagnosis is often delayed due to lacking of recognition of clinical features. We report a 23 month-old boy who presented with multiple pinkish papules and painless cystic swellings in his ankles and wrists. A skin biopsy showed multiple sarcoidal granulomatous lesions.

How to perform a breaking bad news consultation properly with the present circumstances and especially it fits the local people. The way to deliver bad news to cancer patients was studied and practiced widely in the world. Some studies were conducted in Vietnam but not yet in central Vietnam. This is a retrospective review of all patients at Pathology Department, Hue Central Hospital with the diagnosis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma between January 1st 2017 and June 30th, 2018. We report a case of a 7-year-old child with urolithiasis in autotransplanted kidney treated with minipercutaneous nephrolithotomy. The patient presented with hematuria and graft hydronephrosis. Diagnostic procedures revealed ureterolithiasis as a cause of obstruction and blood in urine. Mini-percutaneous nephrolithotomy was successfully performed and during surgery, all stone fragments were removed.

Herbal footbaths are a complementary and alternative medicine that provides good results in managing insomnia, with few adverse effects and low costs.
