Patient-centredness has become a central quality indicator for oncology care. Elements include shared decision-making, patient navigation and integration of psychosocial care, which impact patient-reported and clinical outcomes. Despite efforts to promote patient-centred care in Germany in recent decades, implementation remains fragmented.

Hospital-acquired pressure ulcers (HAPUs) have a mortality rate of 11.6%, are costly to treat, and result in Medicare reimbursement penalties. Medicare codes HAPUs according to Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality Patient-Safety Indicator 3 (PSI-03), but they are sometimes inappropriately coded.

Incorrect imaging protocol selection can lead to important clinical findings being missed, contributing to both wasted health care resources and patient harm. We present a machine learning method for analyzing the unstructured text of clinical indications and patient demographics from magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) orders to automatically protocol MRI procedures at the sequence level.

Accurate and robust quality measurement is critical to the future of value-based care. Having incomplete information when calculating quality measures can cause inaccuracies in reported patient outcomes. This research examines how quality calculations vary when using data from an individual electronic health record (EHR) and longitudinal data from a health information exchange (HIE) operating as a multisource registry for quality measurement.

The aim of this study was to review the long-term results of the instrumented Bone Preserving (iBP) elbow prosthesis. The iBP elbow prosthesis gives a survival rate of 81% 10 years after surgery with a progressive decline beyond 10 years. However, many patients have radiolucencies. Discrepancy between clinical signs and radiological results warrants structural follow-up, to assure quality of bone stock in case revision surgery is indicated.

The study was conducted by a cross-sectional descriptive study of 360 patients, including Kinh and ethnic minorities, in a 1:1 ratio. The results showed five service quality factors affecting patient satisfaction in descending order: (1) Assurance, (2) Responsiveness, (3) Empathy, (4) Reliability, and (5) Tangible. Besides, some demographic and clinical characteristics that had statistically significant impacts on the level of satisfaction of the surveyed patients were also indicated.

Over the last decades numerous initiatives have been set up that aim at translating the best available medical knowledge and treatment into clinical practice. The inherent complexity of the programs and discrepancies in the terminology used make it difficult to appreciate each of them distinctly and compare their specific strengths and weaknesses.

Large gap exists between clinical practice and recommended care and large room exists for the improvement of care quality for non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) in China. Results of some studies have shown that assessment of care quality can help to make improvement and the development of quality indicators is deemed as the initial and most essential part.

Urinary Tract Infections are among the most common bacterial infections and account for a significant part of the workload in clinical microbiology laboratories. The rate of yield is almost same for all media i.e., Blood Agar, MacConkey gar, C.L.E.D Agar with Andrade’s indicator and Hichrome UTI Agar. The results obtained after various specific biochemical tests and other techniques, were correlated correctly with the presumptive identification results by Hicrome UTI Agar.
