Cluster bean during summer

The present investigation was carried out with 51 genotypes along with one check variety of cluster bean during summer, 2017 using Randomized Block Design with three replications. Significant variations were recorded among genotypes for growth, yield and quality parameters.

The present study was carried out at the research farm of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Sirsa during kharif 2014. The climate of this tract was semi-arid, sub-tropical with hot and dry summer and cold winters. The maximum temperature during summer months of May and June reached up to 47.2 °C. Thirty six accessions of cluster bean along with checks were screened during six seasons i.e. Summer and Kharif of the year 2012, 2013 and 2014 for seven quantitative traits and data were subjected to GxE interaction analysis using regression and crossover and noncrossover interactions parameters.

A field experiment on the “Effect of Integrated Weed Management practices against weed control in cluster bean” was undertaken during summer 2015 and 2016.The various weeds observed in cluster bean crop during summer season were, viz., Cyperus rotundus, Cynodon dactylon, Commelina benghalensis, Parthenium hysterophorus, Portula caoleracea, Amarathus viridis, Trianthema portulacastrum, Euphorbia hrita, Diger amuricata, Panmicumis achne.
