Precious Pt metals deposited on reducible CeO2 oxide have been widely used in exhaust gas treatment. However, the high cost of Pt metals is the main barrier that prevents from applying the Pt metals. Therefore, a lot of efforts have been dedicated to reducing the Pt size as small as possible, aiming at maximizing Pt metal utilization efficiency. The smallest ultimate size that Pt metal can be deposited on CeO2 as single atom structures. Furthermore, the supported single Pt atom catalysts enhance catalytic performance and selectivity compared to Pt cluster or Pt particle counterparts.

This global minimum structure has the shape of a tetragonal bipyramid having two Sc atoms at two tops of pyramids binding with one edge of Ge-Ge. The ground electronic state of the global minimum isomer is the 2B2 state in the C2v symmetry. The most stable isomer of Sc2Ge6 − has been used to study the CO adsorption. The calculated results indicate that the Sc2Ge6 − cluster has a good interaction with the CO molecule. The adsorption positions are around the Sc atom with two stable models include adsorbing the C atom and adsorbing both the C and O atoms of the CO molecule.

In this work, ZnFe2O4 nanoparticles were synthesized by hydrothermal method while the hummer method was used to synthesize GO nanosheet. GO/ZnFe2O4 nanocomposites (GO/ZFO) were prepared by mixing GO with ZnFe2O4 in mass ratio of 1:99, respectively.

The optimized adsorption site of the adsorbates (CO, CO2, NO2) on Xenes (X = Si, Ge, Sn), the corresponding adsorption energies, band gap, band structure, and density of states of silicene, germanene, and stanene are discussed.

Herein, a performance analysis of La-doped copper-based catalysts (CuO/ZrO2 /La-Al2 O3 ) in methanol steam reforming (MSR) was conducted and compared with a commercial low temperature water-gas shift catalyst (HiFUEL W220) to produce H2 with low CO selectivity. The physicochemical properties of as-obtained catalysts were characterized by N2 adsorption, XRD, and ICP-OES. Effect of calcination temperature (750 ℃ and 1000 ℃) on the properties of mixed oxide support (La-Al2 O3 ) were discussed based on catalytic activity.

CO adsorption on the Cu(211) surface was investigated using energy, geometry and vibrational data, which were produced through periodic DFT computations. Adsorption on the (111) terrace, as well as the previously reported top and bridge sites of the stepedges, was studied at 0.25, 0.33, 0.50, 0.66, 0.75, and 1.00 monolayer (ML) CO coverage. Results showed that up to and including 0.50 ML, on-top or bridge adsorption is preferred on the step-edges.

Herein in situ modification of the classic metal-organic framework ZIF-67 with –SO3 groups was easily achieved by the efficient adsorption of multi-sulfonated dyes due to the coordinative interaction between the unoccupied Co(II) of ZIF-67 and –SO3 of the dyes.

The physical and chemical properties of bimetallic nanoparticles can be optimized by tuning the particle composition. In this study, we identified CO adsorption and dissociation energetics on five Pt-Mo nanoparticles at different concentrations, the lowest energy Pt7, Pt6Mo, Pt5Mo2, Pt4Mo3, and Mo7 clusters. We have shown that the CO adsorption and dissociation energies and preferred CO adsorption sites are largely dependent on the composition of the nanoparticles.

Textile azo dyes are one of the pollutants in waste water that adversely affect human and environmental health. Removal of these chemicals from wastewater is important for eco-system and human health. In this study, Bi2 O3 nanoflakes and ZnO were synthesized by the co-precipitation method.
