The Treatments consists of 2 levels of Potassium viz. K1(40 kg K2O/ha), K1(50 kg K2O/ha) and 4 levels of Iron viz.10 and 20 kg/ha as basal and 0.1 and 0.2% as foliar application. There were 9 treatments each being replicated thrice and laid out in Randomized Block Design. The results revealed that treatment T8 (50kgs potassium + 0.2% iron) recorded maximum Dry weight, Number of cobs per plant, cob length, cob girth , cob weight without husk, cob yield without husk, Green fodder and B: C ratio.

The experiment consisted of three levels of nitrogen (90,120 and 150 kg ha1 ) with basal application of P2O5 and K2O each at 60 kg ha-1 and zinc at 15kg ha-1 (basal application) or 0.5% ZnSO4 (foliar spray) and inoculated with Azotobacter or Azospirillum. Highest number of cobs plant-1 , plant height, dry weight, grains cob-1 and grain yield was recorded in the plots treated with 150 kg ha-1 N + 15 kg ZnSO4 basal along with seed inoculation with Azospirillum 20 g per kg seeds.

The efficiency of a breeding programme depends mainly on the direction and magnitude of the association between yield and its components and also the relative importance of each factor involved in contributing to grain yield. The path analysis provides an effective measure of direct and indirect causes of association and depicts the relative importance of each factor involved in contributing to the final product.

Maize is one of the food crop grown all over Andhra Pradesh. After harvest of the cobs, farmers have the practice of burning the stalks in the field itself. To overcome this problem and to test the feasibility of utilizing maize stalks for oyster mushroom cultivation this study was carried out. In this study milky mushroom (Calocybe indica) was cultivated using maize stalks, paddy straw and with different ratios of these two substrates for three years.

Five maize inbred lines and their 10 direct crosses produced through half-diallel scheme were evaluated with two checks during kharif-2014 for grain yield and its component traits. The crosses namely JP25 W95 × CM-138 and CML-439 × CM-138 recorded higher level of economic heterosis for grain yield. Combining ability analysis suggested the preponderance of non-additive gene action for majority of the traits viz., grain yield, 100- kernel weight, ear length, ear girth and number of grain rows per cob.

Drip fertigation is known to enhance the growth and productivity of various crops. Since maize is a heavy feeder of nutrients and water, thus, proper management of these resources is the key to successful growth of maize. Keeping this in view, a field experiment was conducted at Zonal Agricultural Research Station, UAS, GKVK, Bangalore, during kharif season of 2012, to study the effect of drip irrigation and fertigation with different levels and sources of fertilizers on productivity and economics of maize.

Present investigation was under taken to study and compare how spacing influenced the performance and yield of two varieties of Baby corn under poplar based Agroforestry system. Three different spacing patterns i.e. 45x25, 55x25 and 65x25cm were evaluated in two varieties, HIM-123 and DHM-107 of Baby corn in two consecutive years i.e. 2014 and 2015. Following seven parameters (Plant height, Crop growth rate, Collar diameter (cm), Number of cobs per plant, length of Cob (cm), girth of cob (cm) and cob yield (q ha-1 ) were evaluated.
