The purpose of the study is to identify how the coverage of topics of the Code of Conduct for Research in Education in Ukraine is consistent with the ones from the United States of America (USA) and Europe. The study used the methodology for mixed-methods systematic reviews to respond to the first research question and the survey research methodology to respond to the second one.

In this article, mixed integer linear programming of python (MIP) is used to model this problem with varying input data. The result shows that with small input data the modelling code of MIP executing quickly and converging to optimal value, while large scale input data require plenty of computation time; thereby algorithm improvement as well as parallel implementation are suggested.

Structural design codes of different countries provide engineers with data and procedures for design of the various structural components. Building design codes from USA, Europe, and Egypt are considered. Comparisons of the provisions for actions (loads), and for the resistance (strength) of sections in flexural and compressive axial loading are carried out. Several parameters are considered including variable actions for occupancy and different material strengths. The comparison is made considering both concrete and steel structures.

In this study, the authors used a mixed-method approach to analyze user-generated comments on social mobile learning from three leading news sites that report the latest development in higher education. Koole’s mobile learning model was used to code comments made by the public on the three news sites. Results showed that social mobile learning has gained an increasing public engagement in the past four years. Responders’ discussion in the comments primarily focused on four themes of social mobile learning: technology adoption, effective design, faculty training, and student training.

In this paper, recent advances in the CUPID code are presented in three sections. First, the domain decomposition parallel method implemented in the CUPID code is described with the parallel efficiency test for multiple processors. Then, the coupling of CUPID-MARS via heat structure is introduced, where CUPID has been coupled with a system-scale thermal-hydraulics code, MARS, through the heat structure. The coupled code has been applied to a multi-scale thermal-hydraulic analysis of a pool mixing test. Finally, CUPID-SG is developed for analyzing two-phase flows in PWR steam generators.

In this research, we investigated the burnup characteristics and the conversion of fertile 232Th into fissile 233U in the core of a Sodium-Cooled Fast Reactor (SFR). The SFR fuel assemblies were designed for burning 232Th fuel (fuel pin 1) and 233U fuel (fuel pin 2) and include mixed minor actinide compositions. Monte Carlo simulations were performed using Serpent Code1.1.19 to compare with CRAM (Chebyshev Rational Approximation Method) and TTA (Transmutation Trajectory Analysis) method in the burnup calculation mode.

The aim of this work is to simulate the thermohydraulic consequences of a main steam line break and to compare the obtained results with Rossendorf Coolant Mixing Model (ROCOM) 1.1 experimental results. The objective is to utilize data from steady-state mixing experiments and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) calculations to determine the flow distribution and the effect of thermal mixing phenomena in the primary loops for the improvement of normal operation conditions and structural integrity assessment of pressurized water reactors.

The aim of this paper is to determine neutronic performances of the light water reactor (LWR) spent fuel mixed with fertile thorium fuel in a FFHR. Time dependent three dimensional calculations for major technical data, such as blanket energy multiplication, tritium breeding ratio, cumulative fissile fuel enrichment and burnup have been performed by using Monte Carlo Neutron-Particle Transport code MCNP5 1.4, coupled with a novel interface code MCNPAS.

This study aims to find out the patterns and features of English terms mixed in the corpus. In six volumes of magazine investigated, there were 1379 English lexical items mixed; among which more than 90% are nouns while the rests are verbs and adjectives. Most of the words mixed belong to entertainment or IT topics.

Transonic flow is a mixed flow of subsonic and supersonic regions. Because of this mixture, the solution of transonic flow problems is obtained only when solving the differential equations of motion with special treatments for the transition from subsonic region to supersonic region and vice versa. We built codes solving the full potential equation and Euler equations by applying the finite difference method and finite volume method, and also associated with software Fluent to consider the viscous effects.

In this paper, we present a new method for learning to finding translations and transliterations on the Web for a given term. The approach involves using a small set of terms and translations to obtain mixed-code snippets from a search engine, and automatically annotating the snippets with tags and features for training a conditional random field model.
