The research plays a role in discovering factors affecting green banking activities, thereby contributing to raising customers’ awareness of green banking in the sustainable development of banking in Vietnam. In addition, the research serves as a basis for planners to set forth directions to increase awareness and social responsibility of the commercial banking system for environmental protection and combating climate change.

The improved performance of plants can be manifested in higher yields, tolerance to stresses and increased nutritional value of fruits. This research was therefore aimed at evaluating new varieties of watermelon in Prayagraj region. It provides a simple way to combat climate change by crop diversification.

The problem starts where the major food driver is pointed as the major source of a greenhouse gas that needs attention towards emission reductions. A pace over reducing the nitrous oxide emissions can be done with application of soil amendments to the rice crop field.

The agricultural sector has already seen phases of raising crop productivity but this had huge impacts on the environment. This time, there is a need of „sustainability‟ to come into play. This is possible by increasing the base genetic variability and emphasizing on the Evolutionary Phase of plant breeding. This further requires the collaboration of classical or traditional breeding techniques with the modern biotechnological tools.

Wheat (Triticum aestivum) is the second most important food crop in India only after rice and providing food for about 2 billion people which is about 36% of the world population. Annual production of wheat and rice together should be increase by 2 mt every year in order to maintain self-sufficiency for wheat in India. The demand of wheat is projected to be 109 mt by 2020 in India. Globally, the demand for wheat by the year 2020 is forecasted to be around 950 mt.

Soybean (Glycine max) is a miracle crop due to its extraordinary qualities apart from known for rich source of vegetable protein and oil. Over the years, its production is stagnant or declining owing to climate change and also due to ever changing pathogenic behaviour of Macrophomina phaseolina. The present investigation was undertaken to utilize the dominant resident mycoflora of crop that are capable of adjusting to changing environment apart from its ability to combat the menace of its co-partner (pathogenic group) evolving with them.

Cumulatively, all our individual footprints make up the unsustainable total demand. The solution to this problem is for people to take individual action to break down that large footprint. We need to change the way we live to combat climate change, conserve the world’s forests and protect our oceans. No-one wakes up in the morning and consciously decides to contribute to global warming; to help cut down a tropical rainforest; or to deprive future generations of a decent standard of living.

We need to understand our impacts on the natural world in the fight against species loss and climate change. We need to change our patterns of consumption to combat climate change, conserve the Amazon rainforest and protect our oceans. We must become active citizens and conscious consumers, aware of the consequences of our actions and the purchases we make....

The United States and other industrialized countries have committed to financial assistance for environmental initiatives through several multilateral agreements (e.g., the Montreal Protocol (1987), the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (1992), United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (1994), and the Copenhagen Accord (2009)).

International agreements, supported by hard science, are proving effective in combating wide-ranging environmental threats such as ozone depletion and long-range transboundary air pollution. Can similar agreements be implemented to address the more complex risks posed by global climate change? Scientific analysis in general, and the health sector in particular, need to inform and help advance ongoing policy discussions.
