The project's main objectives were to analyse the data obtained during geological exploration and use it to model and predict biological patterns in order to answer the main research questions: 1) Is there a statistical relationship between the environmental parameters and the benthic community composition and morphospecies observed? 2) Can predictive models be developed from this relationship? In achieving these main objectives, the project also developed recommendations for methods that could be applied during geological exploration voyages to maximise the potential use of data collected.

We examined the soil fauna community composition and structure of Poyang Lake beach wetlands using the modified Tullgren and Baermann methods during September and December 2015. A total of 3755 individuals were obtained from 2 samplings, which were found to belong to 7 classes, 8 orders, 3 suborders, and 17 families. Among these, the Oribatida, Prostigmata, Nematoda, and Onychiuridae were dominant. The functional groups of soil animals included omnivores, saprozoics, predators, and phytophages.

There has been increasing interest in discovering microbial taxa that are associated with human health or disease, gathering momentum through the advances in next-generation sequencing technologies. Investigators have also increasingly employed prospective study designs to survey survival (i.e., time-to-event) outcomes, but current item-by-item statistical methods have limitations due to the unknown true association pattern.

Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is one of the major causes of hospital-acquired infections worldwide. It is widespread in communities and prevalent in hospital and even amongst the livestock. The mortality and morbidity amongst patients with infections associated with MRSA are usually high owing to increasing resistance to several antibiotics. The resistant pattern of MRSA has not been clearly defined in Oleh.

Detection of Methicillin resistant strains of Staphylococcus aureus using phenotypic and genotypic methods in a tertiary care hospital Institution: Institute of Microbiology, Madras Medical College. Abstract: Purpose: Methicillin resistant S. aureus (MRSA) are significant pathogens that have emerged over the past 30 years to cause both nosocomial and community acquired infections. This study has been undertaken to compare the conventional and molecular methods in detecting MRSA. S. aureus was isolated from pus samples and identified by Gram stain and Catalase test.

Urinary tract infection (UTI) is one of the most common bacterial illnesses and hence one of the most important indications for antibiotic treatment. Current knowledge of the common organisms implicated in causing UTI in the local community and surveillance to monitor the changes in susceptibility of uropathogens are imperative to ensure appropriate therapy.

Community-acquired bloodstream infections are the infections detected within 48 hours of hospitalization, showing positive blood culture and develop spontaneously without an association with any prior medical interventions. Aims of the study are to identify the clinical profile of patients, detect the pathogens causing community-acquired bloodstream infections (CA-BSI) and their antimicrobial susceptibility pattern and to perform the molecular characterization of resistant pathogens.

Historically, S. aureus has been one of the most common pathogens which caused pyogenic local and systemic infections in both hospitals and community. Methicillin resistance in Staphylococcus aureus is associated with multidrug resistance, an aggressive course, increased mortality and morbidity in both community and health care facilities. This cross sectional study was carried out in a 70 burn patients from May 2016 to July 2018 at DR.S.C.G.M.C, Nanded India. Swabs were taken and cultured for bacterial isolation and identification following standard operative procedures.
