Comparative statics

In this study, in order to investigate the error rate of seismic analysis methods (static equivalent, spectral and time history) in intermediate structures with irregularity of hardness, 4 5-story steel samples with dual flexural frame system and bracing with different states of irregularity in height in soft SAP software has been modeled. The results showed that the equivalent static analysis method always provides conservative and somewhat uneconomical values compared to other methods, so it can be said that for static buildings, equivalent static analysis is reliable.

This paper present the dynamic sliding mode controller to control a ball-beam system. These purposes compare results with Static and Fuzzy sliding mode control(SSMC and FSMC). This paper proposes a solution to reduce phenomenon chattering by algorithm dynamic sliding mode controller (DSMC). Simulations, as well as implementation results on real experiments, showed that the proposed control works well.

Early goal directed therapy improves survival in patients with septic shock. Central venous pressure (CVP) monitoring is essential to guide adequate resuscitation. Use of peripherally inserted central catheters (PICC) is increasing, but little data exists comparing a PICC to a conventional CVP catheter. In this method, the internal DOFs are separated from the boundary DOFs, and decomposed onto a basis of static modes, and a basis of fixed interface modes [Craig et Bampton, 1968]. The use of a reduced basis for the fixed interface modes makes it possible to reduce the size of the system to be solved, and therefore to save the computational time compared to a classical finite element computation involving the complete system.

Estimating memory required by complex programs is a well-known research topic. In this work, we build a type system to statically estimate the memory bounds required by shared variables in software transactional memory (STM) programs. This work extends our previous works with additional language features such as explicitly declared shared variables, introduction of primitive types, and allowing loop body to contain any statement, not required to be well-typed as in our previous works. Also, the new type system has better compositionality compared to available type systems.

In this paper, the mechanical behavior of symmetric FGM sandwich beams where each component layer is made from different funtionally graded materials and conected to one another by shear connectors is carried out. The finite element formulations are constructed based on the first-order shear deformation theory (FSDT) of Timoshenko for beam and finite element method. The calculation program is coded in the MATLAB environment and compared the results with particular cases.

This paper presents the numerical result for the static bending analysis of functionally graded material (FGM) box by using the finite element method (FEM). The authors code the calculation program in MATLAB software and checked the established program by comparing it with other published works. In addition, the effects of some geometrical and material parameters on the static bending analysis of FGM boxes are investigated in detail.

The present study deals with the degradation of Reactive black GDN by different bacterial cultures isolated from a contaminated site. Amongst 5 cultures, the isolate 4 displayed 96% decolourisation of Reactive black GDN (100 mgl-1 ) in 24h to 72 h. The colour removal efficiency of the isolate was further improved by optimizing various parameters. The decolourisation of the dye was 1.9 times higher under static as compared to shaking condition. The pH 7.0 and 37oC temperature were found to be optimum for the decolourisation of the dye.
