Anti-vascular endothelial growth factor monoclonal antibody (anti-VEGF) or immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) combined with chemotherapy are commonly administered to cancer patients. Although cancer patients receiving anti-VEGF or ICIs have been reported to experience an increased risk of acute kidney injury (AKI), comparative studies on the AKI incidence have not been evaluated.

In this paper, the author studies the impact of capital adequacy ratio on credit performance of Vietnamese commercial banks for both growth and credit risk aspects. Evaluate in detail and compare the difference of this relationship between commercial banks with different characteristics. Proposing a number of recommendations to help bank administrators and regulators be more proactive when assessing the impact of capital adequacy ratio on the individual characteristics of each bank.

This paper focuses on examining the nonlinear impact of trade openness on economic growth in ASEAN countries. If the nonlinear impact exists, the author will estimate the threshold value of trade openness when it affects economic growth. Thanks to this, the author expects to discover many interesting and different things compared to previous studies. Regarding the research data, the author collected the data of Asean-5 countries (Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, and the Philippines) and Vietnam in the period 2004-2019.

The growth in scale and quantity of Vietnam’s export agricultural products does not bring corresponding income increases and faces many risks and losses in the market. Based on the research and analysis of the situation participating in global agricultural value chain of Vietnam products, the study also suggest the particular solutions to remove difficulties in the formation of the value chain and set up Vietnam agricultural value chain towards sustainability

QTL variations for growth-related traits in eight distinct families of common carp (Cyprinus carpio)
Comparing QTL analyses of multiple pair-mating families can provide a better understanding of important allelic variations and distributions. However, most QTL mapping studies in common carp have been based on analyses of individual families.

Halopeplis perfoliata, a succulent halophyte of coastal marshy habitats, was grown in a greenhouse to study its adaptive responses in terms of growth, osmoregulation, and N-metabolism following one-month exposure to salinity (0, 150, 300, and 600 mmol L–1 NaCl). Biomass was optimal in 150 mmol L–1 NaCl with unaltered malondialdehyde (MDA) levels. On the other hand, biomass remained comparable to non-saline control with some increase in MDA in 300 and 600 mmol L–1 NaCl.

The study aims to evaluate the efficiency of SLFs on the biomass production, biochemical and physiological processes; and the study was carried out at different SLF concentrations of selected seaweeds i.e. Kappaphycus alvarezii, Gelidiella acerosa and Turbinaria ornata. The comparative analysis of the growth performance of two unicellular green alga on three different organic media suggest that the liquid fertilizer from red seaweed was highly efficient than the SLF prepared from brown seaweed.

The objective of the study "Effects of some commercial products on root and crown rot caused by Phytophthora cactorum in apple cultivation" was to evaluate the effects of eleven commercial products (bio-pesticides, fertilizers, and activators) on P. cactorum by comparing plant growth parameters (trunk diameter, plant height, number of branches, and root dry weight). Trials were conducted according to a randomized complete block design with three replicates in a greenhouse in 2 consecutive years.

Cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) play an important role in cancer growth by interacting with cancer cells, but their effects differ depending on the type of cancer. This study investigated the role of CAFs in biliary tract cancers (BTCs), compared with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) as a comparison cohort.

The research aimed to evaluate impacts of macro socio-economic factors including population, GDP growth, inflation and interest rates on the dependant variable “rice price” in Vietnam. We will concentrate on Vietnam case and just use Thailand data as references to compare to Vietnam. The research used quantitative design with econometric model with 4 macro economic factors affecting rice price to reflex food security.

Our study revealed that plant growth promoting bacteria improve collard vegetative growth, pigment contents, nutritional values and mineral contents. The application of AP-303 bacterial strain (Bacillus amyloliquefaciens subsp. plantarum) in the media exhibited the highest values of most tested parameters as compared with the untreated plants.

Melia azedarach L. is a multipurpose timber tree that is important in forestry plantations. Genetic modification to improve the growth rate and wood quality is important to produce new cultivars of M. azedarach. In this study, the effects of AtGA20ox gene expression on plant growth, wood formation, and biomass production in transgenic M. azedarach plants were investigated. AtGA20ox was inserted into the binary vector pBI101 under the control of the xylem specific promoter CAD4 and transferred to M. azedarach via Agrobacterium-mediated method.

Ferulic acid (FA; 3-methoxy-4-hydroxycinnamic acid) can eliminate stress-induced damage because of its ability to induce antioxidant activity under stress. The aim of this study was to identify the effects of FA on water status, antioxidant system, and lipid peroxidation in wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) roots exposed to boron (B) stress. Plants were grown in hydroponic culture containing the combination or alone form of 25–75 μM FA and 4–8 mM B. Stress significantly decreased growth (RGR), water content (RWC), proline content (Pro), and osmotic potential (YP).

Open-cast mining in tropical forests causes negative impacts on biodiversity and carbon storage. Postmining reclamation is therefore imposed to recover the vegetation despite the lack of understanding which indicators can be used to monitor the progress ofsuccession. This study proposes an integrated framework to assess the trajectory of vegetation succession in coal mining site in East Kalimantan, Borneo.

The recombinant VEGF121 was encapsulated with PLA microparticles and studied in vitro and ex ovo for the sustained release mechanism. The PLA-VEGF microparticles and the recombinant VEGF121 were explored for their bioactivity in human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC).

PIKfyve is an evolutionarily conserved lipid and protein kinase enzyme that has pleiotropic cellular functions. The aim of the present study was to investigate the effects of phosphatidylinositol-3-phosphate 5-kinase (PIKfyve) inhibitor, YM201636, on nonsmall cell lung cancer (NSCLC) cells growth, tumorigenicity, and claudin (CLDN) expressions. Three NSCLC cell lines (Calu-1, H1299 and HCC827) were used to compare the effects of YM201636. Cytotoxic effects of YM201636 were analysed using XTT assay.
