This study focuses on evaluating short-term deflections of reinforced concrete beams according to the Vietnamese Standard on the Design of Concrete and Reinforced Concrete Structures (TCVN 5574:2018) by comparing them with simulated results obtained from Abaqus software.

One new sesquiterpene, (4S,7R,10S)-2-oxo-4,10,11-trihydroxyguaia-1(5)-ene, and five lignans, kadsuralignan J, isovaleroylbinankadsurin A, schizandrin O, futokakadsurin C and arisantetralone were isolated from the roots of Kadsura induta. Their chemical structures were revealed by MS, 1D and 2D NMR spectra in comparison with the reported data. The absolute configuration of compound 1 was determined by calculation of its theoretical ECD spectra and compared with the experimental results.

This research aims to address these research gaps. Through the literature review, the most popular building PV applications in China are identified. Hence, five building PV scenarios are developed based on real-word cases, including BAPV, roof BIPV and window BIPV. Given the diverse geographic conditions and policy conditions in China, 12 typical cities are selected for the research. A MATLAB program is established to calculate energy generation and evaluate the economic performance of the building PV applications in the 12 cities.

In this paper, we estimate the scale of time consumption of such calculation in comparison to that of time-independent calculation, and present our solution to the problem by using parallel computing as implementing both MPI and OpenMP to the calculation. We also discuss the possibility to exploit parallel computing with GPU in the near future, and the preliminary results of time-dependent spectral function.

The far-field vertical displacements are compared with calculations obtained by the boundary element method (BEM) for circular, rectangular, triangular and arbitrary-shaped defects. Comparisons between the theoretical and BEM results, which are graphically displayed, are in excellent agreement. It is also discussed the limitations of the proposed approximate theory.

The main results and new points of this thesis are: The effective emissivity of the diffuse and isothermal cylindrical - inner - cone cavity has been calculated using the polynomial interpolation technique for the angle factor integrals describing the radiation exchange inside the cavity. The interpolation - calculated results are approximately accurate in comparison with those obtained by the analytical methods. This approach is a rather new in the practice of cavity effective emissivity calculation.
