Our research aims at investigating by what means do firms decide debt maturity (DM) structure in Vietnamese context involving certain levels of financial constraints. It is found that, with stronger financial profiles, unconstrained firms are more likely to endure the effects of liquidity risk and information asymmetry, whereas those constrained seem to be subjected to various consequences resulting from these frictions.

This paper extends a numerical procedure for limit ananlysis of 3-D structures using node-based smoothed finite element method (NS-FEM) in combination with second-order cone programming (SOCP). The obtained discretization formulation is then cast in a form which involves second-order cone constraints, ensuring that the underlying optimization problem can be solved by highly efficient primaldual interior point algorithm. Furthermore, in the NS-FEM, the system stiffness matrix is computed using the smoothed strains over the smoothing domains associated with nodes.

Alternate Wetting and Drying (AWD) is a simple and low cost water saving technology for helping farmers to cope up with the increasing water scarcity in irrigated environment. Irrigation is regulated by intermittent flooding in rice field with the help of Pani Pipe (perforated field tube). The study was carried out in Puri District of Odisha to ascertain the constraints perceived by the farmers that inhibit the adoption of AWD technology. All the selected farmers involved in adoption of AWD were interviewed as respondents.

The present study was conducted in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh, to study the production constraints faced by rice farmers and various suggestions given by them to overcome the constraints. The major agro ecological, technical, socio-economical and marketing constraints perceived by farmers were high temperature during crop growth, scarcity of labour during peak periods, diversion of farmers from rice cultivation to irrigated dry crops and involvement of middlemen respectively.

The study was carried out to estimating the cost involved in value addition of green tea leaves in Sonitpur district of Assam. Rice is the staple food of Odisha in terms of area, production and yield. System of Rice Intensification (SRI) involves adoption of changes in management practices of rice cultivation creating a favourable condition for crop growth with less utilization of inputs. Despite the benefits, SRI has not adopted by the farmers as expected in the state. This paper attempted to analyse the perception of Odisha farmers regarding major constraints hindering widespread of SRI by different categories of farmers (i.e. adopters, dropouts and non-adopters) in the state and the positive impact of SRI.
