Rice (Oryza sativa L.) is the staple food and being the most important ingredient of the food basket for most nations in Asia. The declining productivity of rice and its availability of per capita is therefore a policy concern. Nevertheless, the production of rice in Malaysia is primarily implemented by adopting the conventional technique. This technique has increased the production cost of rice and became a constraint to achieving the production potential for the farmer.

Zero leverage behaviour is not an uncommon phenomenon that can be linked to a wide range of financial theories while product market competition plays a crucial role in formulating corporate decisions in private firms. Results show that the higher degree of product market competition, the more likely firms adopt zero-leverage policy.

This study aimed to propose a mathematical method to investigate and optimize the simultaneous elimination process of multiple organic pollutants using the Fenton process. Hence, the treatment of rhodamine B (RB) and acid red 14 (AR14) dyes in their binary solution was studied. Multivariate curve resolution alternating least square (MCR-ALS), a novel chemometric method, was applied along with correlation constraints to resolute the UV-Vis spectrophotometric data, enabling quantification of investigated dyes despite a high spectral overlapping.

The farmers are using local cultivators ie Jhain Mung which gives poor yield. Generally the farmers are not adopting any nutrient and biofertilizer application and YMV is the major reason for poor yield in this area. As the crop is grown in residual soil moisture, the crop faces water stress condition many times. One of the major constraints of poor yield and spread of green gram, is the non-availability of suitable high yielding variety to replace the traditional varieties.

Major part of Indian economy is contributed by agriculture and its allied sector. Around 56 per cent of population directly or indirectly depends upon agriculture. The GDP contribution of the agriculture and allied sector is 17.2 per cent, but this sector is facing many challenges to flourish. Out of these challenges lesser crop productivity and inefficient use of fertilizers are the main challenges faced by Indian farmers. Till now, fertilizer recommendations for different crops are made on the basis of agronomical practices and not on the soil test basis.
