The eco-efficiency indicator is recognized as an effective tool to measure sustainability in construction. This study proposes s indicators to measure eco-efficiency at project and component levels during the roadway life cycle. Conventional cost over energy consumption and conventional cost over GHG emissions are two most prominent indicators in the material production stage, whereas conventional cost over solid waste is the most prominent in the disposal/recycling stage.

Clinical Laboratory produces large quantities of liquid infectious waste in the form of body fluids including blood. Biomedical waste management generally covers the solid waste generated in the Health care set up. Liquid infected waste management in a hospital is mainly addressed in the form of Sewage treatment plant (STP) or Effluent treatment plant (ETP) which is made mandatory for hospitals. Construction of these facilities involves lot of financial expenditure. Small facilities may not be able to afford to construct a STP or ETP in their facility.

Alexandria Governorate contracted an international company in the field of municipal solid waste management for the collection, transport and disposal of municipal solid waste. Construction and operation of the sanitary landfill sites were also included in the contract for the safe final disposal of solid waste. In this paper, we aim to analyze the influence of the accelerated carbonation condition in the laboratory on the physio-chemical properties of carbonated steel slag. Materials composition was characterized by using different analysis techniques of XRD, SEM, TG and others measurements of the physio-properties (density, loss on ignition L.O.I.) were also realized with regard to the requirement of national standard TCVN 7570:2006 for concrete aggregate.
