Controlled drug loading

Xem 1-13 trên 13 kết quả Controlled drug loading
  • Mesoporous silica nanoparticles (MSNs) have been demonstrated as a promising candidate in drug delivery applications. With the ambition of enhancing their drug loading capacity and controlled release, in this innovative study, MSNs were tailored with polyamidoamine (PAMAM) dendrimers thereby exerting advantageous properties onto the surface of the nanoplatforms.

  • Xylan extracted from corn cobs was used to produce mesalamine-loaded xylan microparticles (XMP5-ASA) by cross-linking polymerization using a non-hazardous cross-linking agent. The microparticles were characterized by thermal analysis (DSC/TG), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Infrared spectroscopy (FTIR-ATR) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM).

  • Nowadays nanoparticles are increasingly investigated for the targeted and controlled delivery of therapeutics, as suggested by the high number of research articles (2400 in 2000 vs 8500 in 2020). Among them, almost 2% investigated nanogels in 2020. Nanogels or nanohydrogels (NGs) are nanoparticles formed by a swollen threedimensional network of synthetic polymers or natural macromolecules such as polysaccharides.

  • There may be great individual variability in the hemodynamic effects of this dexmedetomidine. For this reason, the dose must be carefully adjusted to achieve the desired clinical effect. Whether a loading dose of dexmedetomidine produces hemodynamic side effects during the anesthesia maintenance is unknown. The aim of this study was to compare the effects of a loading dose of dexmedetomidine combined with propofol or sevoflurane on hemodynamics during anesthesia maintenance.

  • A series of polyoxometalate-based magnetic nanoparticles were developed as novel carriers for anticancer drugs. Characterization of the nanoparticles was done by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), wavelength dispersive X-ray (WDX), and laser particle size analyzer. Epirubicin (EPI) was selected as a model drug. EPI loading efficiency, EPI loading content, and EPI release profiles were studied. Drug loading was controlled using acid-base titration since H + was released during the loading process.

  • Carbon nanotubes have emerged as highly promising theranostic agents due to their unique structural/physical features, high surface area, and high drug-loading capacity. The high cytotoxicity of carbon nanotubes can be eliminated by noncovalent coating using hydrophilic polymers. We investigated the adsorption of long pyrene functionalized polyethylene glycol (PEG) chains, PEG2000 and PEG5000 , on a single-walled carbon nanotube (SWNT) from a crowded solution.

  • In this study, pH responsive carboxylic cellulose acetate nanoparticles (CCA NPs) have been evaluated as drug nanocarriers for controlled release of drug . Herein, carboxylic cell ulose acetate ( CCA) was initially synthesized via oxidation of cellulose using a 2,2 ,6,6-tetramethylpiperidin-1-yl)oxidanyl (TEM PO) as an oxidant and followed by the acetylation of carboxylic cellulose in the presence of iodine as a catalyst.

  • The aim of the present study was to develop and evaluate a thermoresponsive depot system comprising of docetaxel-loaded cubosomes. The cubosomes were dispersed within a thermoreversible gelling system for controlled drug delivery. The cubosome dispersion was prepared by dilution method, followed by homogenization using glyceryl monooleate, ethanol and Pluronic® F127 in distilled water. The cubosome dispersion was then incorporated into a gelling system prepared with Pluronic® F127 and Pluronic® F68 in various ratios to formulate a thermoresponsive depot system.

  • Evaluating the efficacy of the loading and tapering dose of Phenobarbital versus oral Morphine in the management of NAS. This randomized, open-label, controlled trial was conducted on 60 neonates born to illicit drugs dependent mothers at Vali-Asr and Akbar-Abadi hospitals, Tehran, Iran, who exhibited NAS requiring medical therapy.

  • BCS class III drugs suffer from a drawback of low permeability even though they have high aqueous solubility. The objective of current work was to screen the suitability of glyceryl monooleate (GMO)/Pluronic F127 cubic phase liquid crystals precursors for permeation enhancement and in turn the bioavailability of tenofovir disoproxil fumarate (TDF), a BCS class III drug. Spray-drying method was used for preparation of TDF loaded liquid crystal precursors (LCP) consisting of GMO/Pluronic F127 and lactose monohydrate with an ability to in situ transform into stable cubic phases upon hydration.

  • The purpose of this study is to synthesize and characterize poly (ethylene glycol) methyl ether (mPEG) conjugated chitosan (CS), mPEG-CS, at different ratios of 5-Fluorouracil (5-FU) delivery (5-FU-loaded mPEG-CS). The chemical cross-linking of these polymers were prepared by using 4-Nitrophenyl chloroformate reagent. The obtained mPEG-CS was characterized by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) and proton nuclear magnetic resonance (1H NMR) spectroscopy.

  • Fifteen consecutive recreational athletes (12 men and 3 women; mean age, 44.3 ! 7.0 years) with the diagnosis of Achilles tendinosis and a long duration of symptoms (18.3 months; range, 3 to 100) had pain during running and had tried conventional treatment (rest, nonsteroidal antiin- flammatory drugs, changes of shoes or orthoses, physical therapy, and ordinary training programs) with no effect on the Achilles tendon pain. This group of patients was contacted during the years 1995 to 1996 and selected for preoperative heavy-load eccentric calf muscle training.
