The purpose of this paper is to examine the comparative position of pre & post-merger stock risk-return performance of selected banks. Study covers comparison of Systematic and unsystematic risk during pre & post-merger period. Using data drawn from money control and yahoo finance this present exploratory study covers a sample of six banks, which were got, merge during year 2004 to 2010. Stock risk-return analysis has presented mix evidence, i.e. for some banks after merger performance has improved whereas for few banks it has decreased.

High money supply (M2) and high budget deficits (BD) both are equally responsible for higher rate of inflation. Moreover, inflationary pressure gets more momentum when money supply and budget deficits both increase together. The empirical evidence of Nepal also supports this hypothesis. Present paper re-examines this issue in the context of Nepal by using econometric analysis. The empirical results reveal that long run inflation is not only related with higher money supply but also to budget deficit.

This paper presents an extended production inventory model in which the production rate at any instant depends on the demand and the inventory level. The effects of the time value of money are incorporated into the model. The demand rate is a linear function of time for the scheduling period. The proposed model can assist managers in economically controlling production systems under the condition of considering a discounted cash flow.

The purpose of this paper is to develop a framework to explain and describe the daily cash flow management processes of families. From data gathered through semi-structured interviews, themes are developed and linked into a daily cash flow management framework. The proposed model suggests that families have a process for managing money. The process focuses on short-term viability through safety, control, comfort, and routine aspects. Cash flow activities are motivated by the near future, feelings and values, experience, and situational knowledge.

Similar factors influenced a large majority of schools’ decision to participate in the Direct Loan Program, whereas the factors that led schools to leave the program varied. Four factors—(1) streamlined loan delivery, (2) greater control over loan processes, (3) timely delivery of money to students, and (4) ease of tracking loans over time—were extremely or very important in influencing 70 percent of Direct Loan schools’ decision to participate in the program.
