This research proposes the dynamic stability improvement of a large-scale power system which consists of a conventional synchronous generator (SG)-based power plant integrated with a doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG)-based wind farm by using a generalized unified power-flow controller (GUPFC). The complete dynamic mathematical equations of the studied system are established in dq-axis reference frame under three-phase balanced conditions.

A field experiment conducted during 2014-15 and 2015-16 at Crop Research Farm, Department of Agronomy, Naini Agricultural Institute, SHUATS, Prayagraj (U.P.); to evaluate the productivity and profitability of wheat as influenced by planting methods and nutrient resources eastern Uttar Pradesh. Data revealed that planting methods; system of wheat intensification (SWI) found significantly higher plant height, plant dry weight, leaf area index, grains/spike, 1000-grain weight, grain yield, straw yield and economics of wheat over to FIRBS and conventional method of planting.

The world production of vegetables, India is the second largest producer next to china. In India, there is no mechanization available for onion transplanting. The transplanting of onion seedlings mainly depends on farm workers. So, manually operated two row paper pot onion transplanter was developed. In agricultural mechanization, the major role of ergonomics is to increase the efficiency of the operation. The study was conducted to evaluate the manually operated two row paper pot onion transplanter and compared with conventional method of transplanting.

But problems like labour shortages, high input costs and conventional farming practices makes agriculture economically unviable and resulted in its decline, especially in vulnerable communities of the developing world. The aims were to evaluate the impact of organic, conventional and traditional production systems on yield, proximate composition and mineral content of tubers and soil physico-chemical and biological properties in greater yam (Dioscorea alata). Organic farming (35.14 t ha-1 ) produced significantly higher yield over conventional practice (28.17 t ha-1 ) by 24%. A net profit of Rs 3,16,534 ha-1 , which was 38% higher over chemical based farming was obtained under organic management in greater yam Tuber quality was improved with slightly higher dry matter, starch and crude protein contents.
