  • This research proposes the dynamic stability improvement of a large-scale power system which consists of a conventional synchronous generator (SG)-based power plant integrated with a doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG)-based wind farm by using a generalized unified power-flow controller (GUPFC). The complete dynamic mathematical equations of the studied system are established in dq-axis reference frame under three-phase balanced conditions.

  • The world production of vegetables, India is the second largest producer next to china. In India, there is no mechanization available for onion transplanting. The transplanting of onion seedlings mainly depends on farm workers. So, manually operated two row paper pot onion transplanter was developed. In agricultural mechanization, the major role of ergonomics is to increase the efficiency of the operation. The study was conducted to evaluate the manually operated two row paper pot onion transplanter and compared with conventional method of transplanting.

  • Escalated food demands propelled by the ever increasing population demands for increase in crop production. But problems like labour shortages, high input costs and conventional farming practices makes agriculture economically unviable and resulted in its decline, especially in vulnerable communities of the developing world. Use of heavy machinery has been in the increase to tackle the problems of labour shortages but have adverse effects on environment due to soil compaction and the adverse effect on global warming owing to high fossil fuel use.
