  • In ebook "Low-frequency vibrations of inorganic and coordination compounds" organometallic compounds have been neglected since the author feels that adequate reviews of that subject are available. Other studies may be missing simply because, owing to space limitations, only the more important researches could be considered. Of course, "importance" may, in this case, reflect the author's interest and prejudices.

  • Coordination-driven self-assembly of nickel (II) ions with equimolar amounts of 1, 10 phenanthroline, and benzoic acid was used to create homonuclear nickel (II) MOF-type supramolecule. Single crystal X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, differential scanning calorimetry, photoluminescence measurement, FT-IR, UV-visible spectroscopy, and nitrogen physisorption measurement were used to characterize the compound. The single crystal X-ray diffraction study reveals that the synthesized compound is twodimensional with pores in the structure.

  • Analysis of multiple equilibria of compounds with different coordination sites is extended to the description of adsorption isotherms with focus on the low relative pressure range. The entropy evolution is described using the particle distribution theory which also holds for adsorbents consisting of materials bearing more than one type of sites and applies for the condition that the adsorptive-adsorbent binding strength is larger than the adsorptiveadsorbate binding strength, so that monolayer coverage is favored.
