Nowadays, supercapacitors have been among popular electrochemical energy storage devices in modern life. Plenty of active materials have been investigated and developed to meet the increasing demands for high-performance supercapacitors. In this study, we introduce a facile chemical synthesis route in combination with a subsequent calcination process to fabricate the oxide/hydroxide composites of nickel (Ni) and copper (Cu) as active materials for highperformance asymmetric supercapacitors.

The CuO and NiO nanoflakes were synthesized by a hydrothermal reaction. The secondary nucleation and growth of hydroxides resulted in the formation of flake like architectures as the prepared nanoparticles were used as an adsorbent for malachite green oxalate (MGO) and methyl orange (MO).

Root rot of soybean is an important disease of soybean inflicting heavy losses in crop. The present investigation was carried out to test the efficacy of agrochemicals and fertilizers in vitro. In bioassay test of non systemic fungicides, Zineb 75 WP gave cent per cent inhibition of growth and sclerotial formation at minimum concentration of 500 ppm followed by copper hydroxide 77WP (53.63%).

A leaf blight disease caused by Neopestalotiopsis clavispora is a major problem in various strawberry growing areas causing mild to severe damage to plants. The present investigation was carried out to find out an effective management strategy against the disease using fungicides and biocontrol agents. Among the nine fungicides tested in vitro, carbendazim 12% + mancozeb 63% (Saaf), cymoxanil 8% + mancozeb 64% (Curzate M8), copper hydroxide 77WP (Kocide), copper oxychloride 50WP (Fytolan), propineb 70WP (Antracol) and Bordeaux Mixture showed cent per cent inhibition of the fungus.
