Lactation is extremely important for dairy cows; however, the understanding of the underlying metabolic mechanisms is very limited. This study was conducted to investigate the inherent metabolic patterns during lactation using the overall biofluid metabolomics and the metabolic differences from non-lactation periods, as determined using partial tissue-metabolomics.

An Investigation was carried out on enzymes activity during composting of urban waste with microbial consortium and activators (cow dung slurry, diary spent wash, biodigester liquid and bovine urine). Significant variation in dehydrogenase, phosphatase and urease activity was noticed among the treatments at all the intervals during composting of urban waste with activators. Dehydrogenase activity was increased at 30th day of composting and decreased at 60th day thereafter, it gradually increased at 120th day of composting.

In recent years, the use of fermented cow dung, cow urine, cow ghee, cow curd and cow milk with the name of panchagavya is getting adaptive popularity in Indian agriculture largely through the efforts of small groups of farmers. Panchagavya has got reference in the scripts of Vedas (divine scripts of Indian wisdom) and Vrikshayurveda (Natarajan, 2002). Panchagavya, an organic product has potential to play the role in promoting growth and providing immunity in plant system. The use of panchagavya results in higher growth, yield, and quality of crops (Choudhary et al., 2014).

Seed germination is the most important aspect for raising the nursery for successful seedling production of Papaya. The present study was carried out to explore the effect of different growth promoter with growing media on seed germination of Papaya. (Carica papaya L.) cv. Madhubindu under net house condition. The seeds of papaya were treated with different concentrations of GA3 and cow urine and sowing in different growing Media’s viz., Coco peat, Vermicompost and Soil. Highly significant different was observed between the treatments.

This work successfully synthesizes silver oxide (Ag2O) nanoparticles (Nps) using cow urine. The presence of different biological components in cow's urine may act as fuel for the synthesis of Ag2O Nps by a combustion method at 500 0C. This is a rapid and environmentally benign procedure, which has the added advantage of shorter response times and better control over size and shape.

Being a tropical delicious fruit papaya is favored due to its yellowish orange colored soft sweet ripe pulp as well as green fruit as culinary purpose. The plant is commonly propagated by seeds and the seed germination is greatly affected by seed treatment to overcome barrier of germination from sarcotesta as well as the inhibitors present beneath the seed coat. In the present experiment seeds of Ranchi variety were soaked for 24 hours in the solutions of coconut water @ 50%, tomato juice @ 20%, cow urine @ 20%, GA3 @ 200ppm, NAA @ 200ppm, KNO3 @ 0.

During evaluation, all the seven treatments viz. hexaconazole, NSKE, Lantana camara leaf extract, B. subtilis, T. harzianum, cow urine, butter milk were found to be significantly superior over control in managing the powdery mildew disease. Among all treatments, T1 (Hexaconazole 5 EC- 0.05%), T2 (NSKE 5%), T5 (T. harzianum 0.4%), T6 (cow urine 10%), T3 (Lantana camara leaves extract 10%) were significantly superior over other treatments for managing powdery mildew.
