The authors used prospective estimates of revenue and expenses for ordinary activities, obtained on the basis of a multiplicative trend-seasonal model to predict the profit of an agricultural enterprise. The study draws attention to the fact that the classical decomposition of the trend-seasonal model into trend, seasonal and random components is possible and convenient for forecasting the financial performance of an agricultural enterprise that has seasonality in crop and livestock production.

"Rice harvest failure risk analysis using extreme value theory based on weather index as information supply chain for agricultural business" discusses the formulation of a risk model for paddy agricultural insurance in Indonesia. Indonesia as an agricultural country with a tropical climate, where the sun shines throughout its time, farmers can plant crops throughout the season. In particular, rice farming is currently an inseparable part of most agrarian societies in Indonesia, especially in West Java.

Salinity is one of the most devastating abiotic stresses limiting crop production. Considering this issue, a pot experiment was conducted at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka, Bangladesh during the boro season (2017-2018) using two rice (Oryza sativa L.) varieties, namely BRRI dhan28 (salt sensitive) and BRRI dhan47 (salt tolerant), to assess the effects of varied salinity levels on the growth and the performance of the rice varieties under salt stress conditions.

Chili (Capsicum annum L.) was one of the most important seasoning constituents of the cuisines of many countries in the world and it was ranked the fourth major crop cultivated globally. However, Anthracnose disease caused by Colletotrichum gloeosporioides has affected chili production worldwide, especially in tropical and subtropical regions. It is necessary to have greatly effective disease management.

Results revealed that crop sequence decreased significantly numbers (m2 ) and dry weight of grassy, broad-leaved and total weeds (g/m2 ) in both seasons. Sowing pea after clover/sorghum and clover/peanut decreased the numbers (m2 ) and dry weight of weeds (g/m2 ) and increased significant plant height, number of branches/plant.

Hybrid de novo transcriptome assembly of poinsettia (Euphorbia pulcherrima Willd. Ex Klotsch) bracts
Poinsettia is a popular and important ornamental crop, mostly during the Christmas season. Its bract coloration ranges from pink/red to creamy/white shades. Despite its ornamental value, there is a lack of knowledge about the genetics and molecular biology of poinsettia, especially on the mechanisms of color formation.

Application of diverse conventional and non-conventional approaches/ technologies for sugarcane improvement meet problems of complex genome, narrow genetic base of crop, genetic recombination, and poor fertility coupled with long breeding cycle. To sustain the production, productivity of sugar industry in rational manner, it is imperative to counsel sugarcane farmers for the selection of ideal varieties based on growth duration and maturity groups, planting crop season and kind of crop (plant/ratoon) to be taken.
