Field experiment was conducted at research farm Bihar agricultural university, Sabour during Kharif -2019 to find the appropriate row ratio of cereal and legume intercrop for better quality of forage with maximum net returns. Intercropping system had significant effect on nutritive value of forage crops and economics.

The aims were to evaluate the impact of organic, conventional and traditional production systems on yield, proximate composition and mineral content of tubers and soil physico-chemical and biological properties in greater yam (Dioscorea alata). Organic farming (35.14 t ha-1 ) produced significantly higher yield over conventional practice (28.17 t ha-1 ) by 24%. A net profit of Rs 3,16,534 ha-1 , which was 38% higher over chemical based farming was obtained under organic management in greater yam Tuber quality was improved with slightly higher dry matter, starch and crude protein contents.

A Field experiment was conducted at College farm, College of Agriculture, Rajendranagar, PJTSAU, Hyderabad to study the effect of zinc fertilization on quality and yield of baby corn during kharif season 2016. The results revealed that soil application of ZnSO4 @ 25 kg ha-1 + foliar spray of ZnSO4 @ 0.2% at 25 DAS and at 40 DAS recorded significantly higher crude protein content and crude protein yield in plant, husk and corn over control (no zinc).

The Oyster mushroom (Pleurotus cystidiosus) was cultivated on different agrowastes as substrates such as; sugarcane bagasse (ScB), rice straw (RS), and wheat straw (WS), whereas the fourth formula composed of combination of these three substrates in a proportion of 1: 1. The ScB, RS and WS agro-wastes substrates were selected as the most favorable lignocellulosic sources. P. cystidiosus can efficiently degrade the agro-wastes and grow at wide range of temperatures.

An investigation under multiplication trial (MLT) was conducted to evaluate the entries of Dioscorea alata locally known as Ratalu and Nagar Kanda under different agroclimatic zones of Chhattisgarh in rainfed condition to identify the high tuber yielding genotype of Ratalu. The experiment was conducted during Kharif 2015-16 and 2016-17 at five locations under Bastar Plateau, Northern Hill Region and Plains of Chhattisgarh with five genotypes including standard and local check under AICRP on Tuber Crops. The locations were the replications in the experiment.

A survey was conducted to study the conventional feeding systems and plane of nutrition of dairy buffaloes in Gurgaon district of Haryana state. From each of the four blocks, three villages were randomly selected. Sorghum and wheat straw were the main green and dry fodder crops adopted in the area during Kharif season. Among the concentrate feeds, wheat dalia and cottonseed cake were found to be most popular.

Three cereals viz. oats (Avena sativa L.), barley (Hordeum vulgare) and annual rye grass (Lolium multiflorum) were evaluated in pure stands as well as in mixtures of 50:50 ratios with common vetch (Vicia sativa L.) and field pea (Pisum sativum) under temperate conditions of Kashmir Valley to address the problem of nutritious green fodder for livestock.

Field experiments were conducted at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Veterinary College and Research Institute, Namakkal during winter irrigated season of 2015- 2016 and 2016-2017 to study the different fertilizer levels in Bt cotton based annual legume fodder intercropping systems. The treatments comprised of intercropping systems in the main plot (C1- Bt cotton alone; C2- Bt cotton + fodder cowpea; C3-Bt cotton + horse gram; C4- Bt cotton + moth bean; C5- Bt cotton + pillipesera) and different fertilizer levels in sub plot (F1-100% RDF; F2- 125% RDF; F3-150% RDF).

Field experiment was conducted to evaluate response of micronutrient on growth and yield of sweet sorghum at Instructional Dairy Farm, G.B.P.U.A. & T., Pantnagar, U.S.Nagar, Uttarakhand during Kharif seasons of 2012 and 2013. The soil of experimental site was silty clay loam having 7.7 pH, 0.81 % organic carbon, 273.35, 25.69 and 240 kg/ha available N, P and K respectively.

The experiment was conducted during rabi season of 2017-18 at experimental block of Murjhad farm, College of Agriculture, Balaghat, Madhya Pradesh, India to evaluate yield and quality parameters of rabi season forage crops. The treatments consisted of four crops i.e. sole oat, sole makkhan grass, sole local rye and sole berseem in a randomized block design with seven replications. The analysis of data indicated that dry matter content, green fodder yield, dry fodder yield and digestible dry matter yield were highest in case of makkhan grass over other crops.

A field experiment was conducted at the instructional farm of Krishi Vigyan Kendra Jajpur, Odisha during 2015 to study the “Effect of integrated nutrient management on growth, yield and quality of okra”, variety-Pusa A4. From the experiment it was observed that application of RDF (75%) + (25%) N through neem oil cake (T7 ) produced maximum plant height (131.40 cm), internode length (8.02cm), fruit length (11.96cm), maximum number of fruits per plant (14.42), individual fruit weight (14.89g), yield per plot (13.29kg), Yield per ha. (9.49 ton) where RDF was 110:50:80 NPK kg/ha.

The study was carried out at university Research Farm, Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, under light textured soils. The treatments consisted of three irrigation levels viz., I1: drip irrigation at 100% Potential Evapo transpiration (PE), I2: drip irrigation at 75% PE and I3: surface irrigation, and three nutrient levels viz., F1: Farm Yard Manure (FYM) 25 t ha-1 + 50% recommended dose of fertilizers (RDF), F2: FYM 25t ha-1 + 100% RDF and F3:100% RDF. Cumulative irrigation water was calculated and applied as per the treatment schedule.
