Granulocyte macrophage colony stimulating factor (GM-CSF) là một cytokine đa chức năng, giúp phôi phát triển hoàn chỉnh và tăng khả năng làm tổ của phôi. Bổ sung GM-CSF vào môi trường nuôi cấy phôi thụ tinh trong ống nghiệm cổ điển đã được nghiên cứu. Bài viết trình bày so sánh tỷ lệ tạo phôi nang của nhóm bệnh nhân điều trị CAPA-IVM có noãn được nuôi cấy trưởng thành trong môi trường có bổ sung GM-CSF với nhóm không bổ sung GM-CSF.

Diffuse gliomas are the most common malignant tumors of the central nervous system with poor treatment efficacy. Infiltration of immune cells into tumors during immunosurveillance is observed in multiple tumor entities and often associated with a favorable outcome. The aim of this study was to evaluate the infiltration of immune cells in gliomas and their association with cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) cytokine concentrations.

Dendritic cells (DCs) is the most professional antigen-presenting cells among innate immune cells to exert generation and maintenance of immunological memory mediated through activation of T and B lymphocytes. In this research, DCs were differentiated from mononuclear cells in culture medium supplemented with Granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF), and Interleukin-4 (IL-4), and were induced to mature with cancer cell antigens. Umbilical cord blood mononuclear cells were induced into CIK cells by Interferonγ (IFN-γ), anti-CD3 antibody and IL-2. After 4-day exposure (with DC:CIK = 1:10), DCs and CIK cells interacted with each other.

Several hematopoietic growth factors (HGFs) have achieved widespread clinical application. In the United States alone, more than US $5 billion per year of the health care budget is spent on these factors. The first patients were treated with recombinant human erythropoietin (rHuEPO, epoetin alfa, Epogen®) in 1985 and the first patients received recombinant methionyl human granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (r-metHuG-CSF, filgrastim, Neupogen®) or recombinant human granulocyte-macrophage colonystimulating factor (rHuGM-CSF, sargramostim, Leukine® or Prokine®) in 1986.
