Cyclic voltammograms

The physical and electrochemical behaviors of BDD electrode are clarified in this work. The surface morphology of BDD is investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) before and after electrolysis in different conditions. There is not any corrosion found on the surface based on the studies of SEM and electrochemical corrosion process.

Mono and hetero binuclear cryptates, [Gd(III)ML] + [M = VO(IV), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II)], were synthesized by a 2-step method. The ligand L represents the deprotonated anionic cryptate obtained by the 2+3 condensation of tris- (2-aminoethyl)amine with 2,6-diformyl-4-nitrophenol. The complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, spectral, magnetic, and electrochemical studies. Fluorescence of Gd(III) ion in the cavity was quenched by the encapsulated Cu(II) and Ni(II) ions. [GdCoL(NO3)]+ cryptate had a high lifetime value compared to other cryptates.

Impedance measurement was used to quantify the amounts of PbSO4 and PbO in the initial stage of the oxidation. H3BO3 decreased the positive grid corrosion of all alloys, while impurities increased it. Although impurities increased the self-discharge during constant current discharge, H3BO3 was found to decrease it, except for the alloy containing the 3 impurities and the Cu-containing alloy. Under open-circuit conditions, H3 BO3 increased significantly the self-discharge rate, but impurities were found to suppress it.

The electrochemical reduction of 2-[8-hydroxyquinoline-5-yl)azo]benzo[c]cinnoline was investigated by cyclic voltammetry, controlled potential electrolysis, and chronoamperometry techniques in the presence of 0.10 mol L−1 tetrabutylammonium tetrafluoroborate in dimethyl sulfoxide at platinum electrode. 2-[8-Hydroxyquinoline-5-yl)azo]benzo[c] cinnoline displays three sharp cathodic peaks and three anodic peaks in the cyclic voltammogram. The diffusion coefficients and the number of electrons transferred were calculated by using an ultramicroelectrode and platinum electrode.

In this work, the polyaniline/reduced graphene oxide (PANi/rGO) bilayer was directly electrodeposited on carbon screen-printed electrodes (SPE). Some details in growth of PANi/rGO bilayer were revealed from cyclic voltammograms and X-ray photoelectron spectra. The growth of stacked rGO film at high compactness on the electrode surface is mainly accompanied with reduction of epoxy functional groups at basal planes of graphitic flakes.

In this study, TiO2 was used as an additive for polyaniline, considered to be a matrix polymer. The nanocomposite film was fabricated electrochemically on metal surfaces (mild steel and stainless steel). The electrochemical properties of polyaniline could be seen on the cyclic voltammogram.

Effect of magnetic field on the electrodeposition of FeCo layers has been investigated with respect to the orientation of the magnetic field to surface electrode e.g magnetic field is parallel and perpendicular to electrode. Electrochemical behaviours, morphology, composition, structure and magnetic properties were investigated using cyclic voltammogram (CV), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Energy Dispersion Spectroscopy (EDS), X-Ray Diffractometer (XRD), Vibrating Sample Magnetometer (VSM).

The cyclic voltammograms showed that nitrate and nitrite ion reduction occurred in the 0.14 M KCl solution with peak potentials of -1.25 to -1.30 V and -1.20 to -1.25 V (Ag/AgCl) respectively.
