The results are as follows. (1) Unit prices reduce the amount of mixed municipal waste by an average of 22% per capita and the size of the effect depends on the pricing type. (2) Unit-based pricing increases the sorting of plastics by 15% and glass by 9%. On the contrary, no effect on the garden biodegradable or paper waste sorting is found.

Because DNA methylation patterns are tissue and cell type specific, the detection of differentially methylated regions (DMRs) with small effect size is a necessary feature of tiling microarray ‘peak’ finding algorithms, as cellular heterogeneity within a studied tissue may lead to a dilution of the phenotypically relevant effects.

The Jammu and Kashmir has a varied type of climate from sub-tropical to cold arid. The main crops grown in the state are rice, maize, wheat, pulses, oil seeds, saffron etc. The cultivation of Saffron is mostly confined to the state of Jammu and Kashmir. In Kashmir saffron cultivation is peculiar and the legend about its introduction in to Kashmir shows that it is an ancient industry about 2200 years’ old. It is the legendry crop of the welldrained plateau of Pampore. The present study is an attempt to analyse the cost, return and marketing of Saffron in Jammu and Kashmir.

Estimating water saturation is one of the main challenging aspects in reservoir characterisation. Good estimation of this parameter enables us to calculate reserve accurately. Hence, it is of great importance to estimate precisely water saturation based on hydraulic flow units of reservoir rocks. The data of research were collected by means of classroom observations, questionnaires and interviews. The teachers’ use of tasks was documented through classroom observations and their difficulties in tasks implementation were explored through questionnaires and interviews. The data were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively.

Harvesting of banana bunch is a tedious work in conventional type harvesting. Various type hand tools are used for conventional type banana harvesting and it is manufactured in the local smithy shop without any design consideration, in crude manner and also with huge variations in sizes, shape and weight etc. So an human factor study was conducted on banana bunch harvesting operation with various locally available knives. In this study, various crop and tool parameters were selected. Various anthropometric data were considered as human parameters.

The present study was conducted in all the six different agro-climatic zones of Punjab state to know about demographic profile parameters (age, sex, education, main occupation, family size, family type, land holdings and category) of farmers engaged in goat farming. The purpose of this study is to quantify the floristic diversity in forests and coffee agroforests and to know the effects of different landholding sizes in Kodagu district of India's the Western Ghats. We collected the data on trees, shrubs and herbs from 50 sample plots of 0.16 ha. each and analyzed for various diversity parameters. Results revealed Shannon’s (H') was highest in coffee agroforests (3.60) compared to that of natural forest (3.32). Conversely, Simpson’s (D) values did not differ between the land-use types.
