Dataset based on data depth

This paper proposes a novel idea for ¯nding the correct number of groups in a dataset based on data depth. The idea is to avoid the traditional process of running the clustering algorithm over a dataset for ffiffiffi n p times and further, ¯nding the k value for a dataset without setting any speci¯c search range for k parameter.

The synergy between social media data and recommendation systems is therefore of outmost importance and calls for a need to conduct an in-depth survey of several emerging social-media based recommender systems. The development of next-generation sequencing technologies has helped sequence large genomes easily, producing a huge number of short-reads - small fragments of DNA. Despite the existence of many developed alignment tools, mapping short-read datasets to the reference genome, a crucial step of genome analysis, still remains a challenge. In this study, we develop a short-read alignment program, BWTaligner, based on the Burrows-Wheeler transform compression - exact and inexact matching.
