Polythiophene (PTh) and polythiophene/molybdenum oxide nanocomposites (PTh/MoO3) were synthesized by an in-situ chemical oxidative method. The successful synthesis of both the materials was confirmed by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and transmission electron microscopy (TEM).

This study was conducted to estimate genetic relationships among banana clones growing in Turkey via some morphological parameters and two molecular marker systems. In terms of yield parameters such as bunch weight, hand number, fruit weight, and total fruit number, Grand Nain (GN) clone came to the forefront with the highest values. It was followed by Azman (AZ), Dwarf Cavendish (DC), and Erdemli Yerli (EY) clones, respectively.

New polymeric phthalocyanine moieties (M = 2H, Zn, Ni, Cu, and Co) were synthesized via polytetracyclomerization reaction of o-bis[3-(3,4-dicyanophenoxy)propyloxy]benzene (3), which can be obtained by the reaction of 4-nitrophthalonitrile with o-bis[(3-hydroxypropyl)oxy]benzene. Aggregation and disaggregation behavior of the polymeric phthalocyanine (5) was studied with some alkali and earth alkali metal cations. Measured intrinsic viscosities of the polymeric phthalocyanines exhibited a substantial decreasing tendency with dilution of the solution.

Passiflora is a large genus in the family Passifloraceae Juss. ex DC. Many Passiflora species are propagated by seed. However, seeds are often slow to germinate and have low germination rates due to seed dormancy factors. This study was conducted to evaluate four different pre-germination treatments on enhancing germination potential in seven Passiflora spp. Germination was monitored every 3 days for 90 days. Germination started after two weeks and then, a gradual increase was observed in germination in most species.

A study was conducted in Karnataka, India from 2013-14 at College of Agriculture, Bijapur, (UAS, Dharwad) to know the effect of weather parameters in seven dates of sowing from I Fortnight (FN) July to I FN of October on sunflower powdery mildew. A field experiment was conducted to study the efficacy of newer insecticides against okra leafhopper, Amrasca biguttula biguttula (Ishida) during Kharif 2018 at AHRS, Bhavikere, UAHS, Shivamogga Karnataka. The results revealed that, Acetamiprid 20% SP @ 0.3 g/l was found to be most effective against leafhopper with higher per cent reduction of leafhopper population (83.06 per cent), followed by Imidacloprid 17.8 % SL @ 0.5 ml/l, Acephate 75 % SP @ 1 g/l, and Afidopyropen 50 DC @ 2ml /l which recorded 82.91, 77.48, and 76.59 per cent reduction in the pest population, respectively.

An experiment was conducted to estimate genetic variability, heritability and genetic advance expressed as per cent of mean in F2 population of two crosses viz., DCS-47-1 × PL-1 and DCS-47-1 × PGCP-12 in cowpea. Analysis of variance revealed significant differences among the segregants tested for all the sixteen characters. High PCV and GVC were observed for number of secondary branches per plant, leaf to stem ratio, number of pods per plant, green fodder yield per plant, green fodder yield per metre row length and stover yield per plant in both the populations.

The study was conducted at Technology Park (Plasticulture Farm) of CTAE, Udaipur, Rajasthan to evaluate performance of automated and conventional drip system for okra crop during year 2019. The Uniformity Coefficient (CU), Distribution Characteristic (DC) and Emission Uniformity (EU) were found to be highest at the head and decreases with increase in distance along the lateral for both irrigation systems. It was found that the average values of all evaluation parameters except DC, were found to be highest for automated drip system.

Traditional type fertilizer broadcasters were with constant opening with gravity flow method which was showing high variation in discharge quantity of fertilizer between the rows and this lead to under and over dosage. A battery operated variable rate fertilizer broadcaster was developed and it consisting of storage tank, metering unit, spreading unit and variable rate controller unit was developed. To standardize the metering mechanism for the fertilizer applicator, a study was conducted on the existing fertilizer metering devices.

PVA/CuI polymer composite samples have been prepared and subjected to characterizations using FT-IR spectroscopy, DSC analysis, ac spectroscopy and dc conduction. The FT-IR spectral analysis shows remarkable variation of the absorption peak positions whereas DSC illustrates a little decrease of both glass transition temperature, Tg, and crystallization fraction, v, with increasing CuI concentration. An increase of dc conductivity for PVA/CuI nano composite by increasing CuI concentration is recoded up to 15 wt%, besides it obeys Arhenuis plot with an activation energy in the range 0.54–1.

In this work, we have investigated the effects of thermal annealing on interconnected at nanowire junctions and between AgNWS network and rGO films via their sheet resistance and transmission. The annealing temperature was varied from 120˚C to 180˚C with 10˚C step to find out optimal temperature at which the wires can be joined together. The results show that at 170˚C, the sheet resistance and transmission of the hybrid rGO/Ag NW film are Rs = 10.
