Decreased well-being

Transgender people face substantial mental health disparities, and this population’s emotional wellbeing can be particularly volatile during gender transition. Understanding gender transition sentiment patterns can positively impact transgender people by enabling them to anticipate, and put support in place for, particularly difficult time periods.

Those living with disadvantage suffer from higher rates of chronic conditions and multimorbidities. Little work has been done to investigate how this cohort experience patient-centred care and what their outcomes might be. This study showed that as a result of a short course of treatment clients experienced better levels of health and wellbeing and decreased levels of pain and disability. Interview data suggest that this may be due to a combination of therapy, setting and relationships formed within that setting.

Old age involves a number of other changes that might contribute to declines in selfesteem, including spousal loss, decreased social support, declining physical health, cognitive impairments. Main objective of the study is to measure impact of ageing on selfesteem of older people and to find the factors affecting the self-esteem of older people. Self -esteem of the respondents was measured on three different aspects- Performance selfesteem, Social self-esteem and Appearance self-esteem.
