The study was conducted to know the suitability of variety and harvesting stage for dehydration of okra (Abelmoschus esculentus L. Moench). The experiment consists of three varieties (ArkaNikhita, ArkaAnamika and Hiriyur Local) and three harvesting stages (4 Days after Anthesis, 6 Days after Anthesis and 8 Days After Anthesis) in all possible combinations were assessed for physico-chemical characters.

With advancing stages of degeneration, denaturation and degradation of proteoglycans in the nucleus pulposus (NP) lead to tissue dehydration and signal intensity loss on T2-weighted MR images. Pfirrmann grading is widely used for grading degeneration of intervertebral discs (IVDs).

Experiment conducted on post-harvest utilization of date palm fruits of cultivar Khadrawy at doka maturity stage for development of dehydrated fruits at three different duration of days i.e. 5, 7 and 9days through inclined solar drier revealed that solar dehydration of the whole date fruits with increased duration of nine days led to the development of the dehydrated product with significant different for minimum physiological loss in weight (46.2%) and maximum recovery percentage (53.8%).

The low grain water content (GWC) at harvest is a prerequisite to mechanical harvesting in maize, or otherwise would cause massive broken kernels and increase drying costs. The GWC at harvest in turn depends on GWC at the physiological maturity (PM) stage and grain dehydration rate (GDR).

Results showed that these wastes had a high potential for use in energy conversion technologies. Plastic waste had the highest value for volatile matter and calorific value. Meanwhile, bagasse and textile wastes had a very low ash content, suitable for thermal processes. TGA-DTG analysis showed that the thermal decomposition of bagasse and textile wastes were relatively similar, expressed in three stages: dehydration, volatile matter decomposition, and char oxidation.
