Delivery problem with time windows

The study a new problem class, the Two-Echelon Multi-Trip Multi-Traffic Pickup and Delivery Problem with Time Windows and Synchronization. We consider the synchronization process of transshipment at satellites between vehicles with the temporary storage mechanism. As the proposed problem consists of two echelons with two separate fleets of vehicles, we thus propose the bottom-up approach to solve the problem. The experiment is to study the proposed model and analyze the satellite synchronization.

This article paper presents a hybrid metaheuristic algorithm to solve the time-dependent vehicle routing problem with hard time windows. Time-dependent travel times are influenced by different congestion levels experienced throughout the day. Vehicle scheduling without consideration of congestion might lead to underestimation of travel times and consequently missed deliveries.

This paper is interested in pharmaceuticals distribution which is one of the most important activities and ensures the availability of drug products to a set of customers (pharmacies). The study introduces the Disrupted Vehicle Routing problem with Soft Time Windows since pharmaceutical distributors should respond to increased demands for products to ensure timely and efficient delivery to dynamic demands. We also propose an improved multiobjective local search (IMOLS).
