Perineural invasion (PNI) is the invasion of nerves by cancer cells and is associated with poor survival in stage II colorectal cancer. However, PNI can be further subdivided according to the depth of invasion, and the depth of PNI has not been clearly linked to prognosis.

Extranodal extension (ENE) is a poor prognostic factor for oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC). Identifying ENE by clinical and/or radiological examination is difficult, thereby leading to unnecessary neck dissections. Currently, no definitive predictors are available for ENE.

The optimal radiation dose for treating non-metastatic superficial esophageal squamous cell carcinoma is unknown. In this retrospective observational study, we investigated the influence of radiation dose and pretreatment endoscopic prediction of tumor invasion depth on local recurrence after definitive chemoradiotherapy in patients with superficial esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.

The determination of the adequate depth of superior vena cava cannulae during minimally invasive cardiac surgery is important for warranting venous drainage and preventing complications during cardiopulmonary bypass. We investigated whether preoperative cardiac computed tomography might be useful for predicting the optimal depth of superior vena cava cannulae.

Positron-emission tomography (PET) is widely used to detect malignancies, but consensus on its prognostic value in oropharyngeal cancer has not been established. The purpose of this study was to analyze the PET parameters associated with tumor extent and survival in resectable oropharyngeal cancer.

If the depth of gallbladder malignant tumor (GBMT) invasion is deeper than the subserosa (ss), cholecystectomy is insufficient. In past reports that used endoscopic ultrasonography (EUS) to diagnose the depth of tumor invasion, it was difficult to diagnose GMBT invasion in the ss without a narrow or disrupted lateral hyperechoic layer (LHEL).

The demand for high-throughput and objective phenotyping in plant research has been increasing during the last years due to large experimental sites. Sensor-based, non-invasive and automated processes are needed to overcome the phenotypic bottleneck, which limits data volumes on account of manual evaluations.

(BQ) Respiratory disease is the most common reason for admission to intensive care, and advanced respiratory support is one of the most frequently used interventions in critically ill patients. A clear understanding of respiratory disease is the cornerstone of high quality intensive care. Although a plethora of literature is available, both in print and online, fi nding the necessary relevant information can be diffi cult and time consuming. This handbook provides comprehensive clinical detail in an easily readable format.

An important parameter for survival in patients with esophageal carcinoma is lymph node status. The distribution of lymph node metastases depends on tumor characteristics such as tumor location, histology, invasion depth, and on neoadjuvant treatment.

Research show that RVT doesn’t has any side effect on fertility. In 200 cases of pregnancy after RVT 66% lead to neonate birth. Premature birth before 37th week happened in 27% of the cases. Abortion rate in first trimester was 16-20% like general population and second trimester abortion was 9.5% (Plante et al., 2005; Jolley et al., 2007). If the tumor volume is less than 500mm, tumor size is less than 2 cm and invasion depth of stroma is less than 2mm we can do ultraconservative operations include simple trachelectomy or extensive conization with knife. In this...
