This research has raised the question of whether the vibration transmission at a wall junction depends on how the wall is excited (by either a sound wave or a mechanical shaker). The aim of this research is to investigate this question and hence contribute to the revision of the series of standards. Villot and Guigou-Carter (2000) have considered this problem but their equations (10) and (13) appear to be in error. This research will endeavour to derive the correct equations and r epeat Villot and Guigou Carter’s calculations.

This research examines how parametric loudspeakers may be considered unique acousmatic musical instruments; how the parametric acoustic array (PAA) can potentially make new forms of music and listening experiences; and how PAA-design problems can be overcome. Interdisciplinary in nature, the study uses grounded theory and experimental music practice within a design research methodology. The current research project genotyped HAV RNA by using protocols and primer sets designed by HAVNET. It collected and genotyped previous HAV-positive samples in VIDRL sample bank, and the results were used to establish epidemiological and molecular database of the HAV strains. The database was used to investigate the relationship between the current diagnostic samples and the previous HAV infection cases. It was expected to identify the source of the hepatitis A infection.
