  • This paper empirically analyses the factors that determine the profitability of Vietnamese commercial banks from 2010 to 2018 along with the efficiency of supply chain practices. Due to the balance sheet data of 26 commercial banks in Vietnam, we use regression models such as OLS, REM, FEM, and GMM to find the correlation between the factors with the profitability of the banks.

  • This paper has objective to explore determinant of bank profitability with size as moderating variable. Internal ratio and macroeconomics variable are used to determine bank profitability. Return on Asset and Return on Equity are variable of bank profitability. Model Panel Data is used to determine bank profitability in Indonesia for period of 2007 to 2018.   • Recently, financial institutions have developed improved internal risk rating systems and emphasized the probability of default and loss given default. The default characteristics are studied for 756 loans from a French bank: CIC- Banque SNVB. A binomial logit regression is used to estimate several models of the probability of default of agribusiness loans based on information available at loan origination. The results show that leverage, profitability and liquidity at loan origination are statistically significant indicators of the probability of default.

It seeks to identify significant bank-specific, industry-specific, and macroeconomic determinants of bank profitability in Syria. We utilize the Generalized Method of Moments (GMM) technique on unbalanced panel data set the covers the period from 2004 until 2011.   • Using the GMM estimator, this paper empirically studies the bank-specific, industry specific and macroeconomics specific determinants of bank profitability of 259 commercial banks in the South Asian countries (Bangladesh, India, Nepal and Pakistan) for the period of 1997-2012. Empirical results show a low level of profit persistency and a late-hit of the global financial crisis in the banking sector in the region. We found no evidence for the traditional SCP hypothesis in relation to banking profit but financial solvency and managerial excellence have positive affiliation.

  • This paper investigates the impacts of market structure and risk on profitability of Indian banks after controlling the influences of some bank specific and macroeconomic determinants. Employing two-step Generalized Method of Moments (GMM) system estimator on a data set of 40 listed Indian commercial banks over a period of 15 years (2002 – 2016), our results suggest that there is a moderate degree of persistence of profit in Indian banking sector during the study period. We find significant negative impact of bank risk on profitability in the Indian banking Industry.

To investigate this relationship 30 banks sample is selected working in the Pakistan economy in the period from 2007 to 2014.
