  • The subject area of the research work, which determined the key aspects of its meaningful content, was the algorithms for the analytical diagnosis of indicators of Supply Chain Management (SCM) characteristic for the companies operating in the oil sector of the world economy. A generalization of the terms of the methodological tools for conducting a retrospective assessment of the studied indicator formed the basis for the argumentation in favour of the benefits of using the deterministic factor analysis model.

  • here are various positioning algorithms proposed for Visible Light Communication (VLC) which require at least three “alive” transmitters to locate the object’s position. In terms of indoor scenarios, the shadowing of Line-of-sight (LOS) signal leads to insufficient information for positioning in a VLC system.

  • A major objective of the research presented here is to develop a link between the two approaches by establishing the relationship between the bridge component condition and the capacity and serviceability limits of the structure. A comprehensive review of literature identified methods of predictive modelling of bridge component condition change using different approaches. The review also indicated that a key to the proposed linkage is considering specific degradation mechanisms in predicting bridge deterioration.

  • The brittle fracture mode by cleavage is accounted for by Ritchie–Knott–Rice's deterministic maximum principal stress criterion (Ritchie et al., 1973). The wellknown problem of mesh dependence associated with softening material behavior is remedied by using an integral type nonlocal formulation similar to that presented in Tvergaard and Needleman (1995).

  • The purpose of this paper is to forecast monthly gasoline prices in Jordan by applying Gaussian process regression on monthly prices of two types of gasoline (octane-90 and octane-95) during the period January 2008–December 2019. Accurately predicting gasoline prices have several fiscal policy implications concerning fuel subsidies and taxes. Also, they affect the consumption and the production of decisions. Moreover, they are crucial for designing and analyzing environmental policies.

  • In this paper, an improved version of Differential Evolution algorithm, called iDE, is introduced to solve design optimization problems of composite laminated beams. The beams used in this research are Timoshenko beam models computed based on analytical formula. The iDE is formed by modifying the mutation and the selection step of the original algorithm. Particularly, individuals involved in mutation were chosen by Roulette wheel selection via acceptant stochastic instead of the random selection.
