This study utilizes four automated inventory management systems which includes Radio frequency Identification (RFID), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and analyses their role as a supply chain risk mitigation strategy through implication of risk management process.

This study aims to show how analysis of such inventory and their demand popularity could be used to install small batch capacity, applying a make to order policy in the FMCG industry for non-popular items. Supply chain managers may also transfer finished goods and move single units of finished goods from an opened carton between retail outlets and warehouses before applying a make when zero policy to reduce and eliminate such unsustainable practices.

This study gives insight to all top management and supply chain practitioners in the manufacturing industry company in implementing ERP systems. Furthermore, the findings of this study could also be beneficial to all ERP users as they would be able to understand the ERP system implementation in sectors apart from the manufacturing industry. Finally, the outcome of this study could be useful to an ERP system adopters in different developing countries. This is one of the first studies, which adequately covers the challenges faced on ERP implementation itself in an LED-manufacturing firm.

This paper develops a framework to evaluate the effect of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. By case study and expert interviews, this paper found that after introducing ERP, case company has intangible positive effects on reputations, decision quality, productivity, product quality. The company has improved business processes and business process reconstruction and organizational change continuously. By financial ratio analysis, this paper found tangible effects with significant improvement on five financial ratios.
