Sugarcane is a major cash crop of India, particularly in UP, Maharastra, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Gujurat, and Foot hils of Uttarakhand. Field investigations were carried out for four years from April, 2016 to March, 2020 to record the total bee flora and to identify the most important among them in Dhenkanal district of Mid- Central table land zone of Odisha. All plant species recorded under this study were found to provide either nectar or pollen or both to different species of bees.

A study was conducted in the Mid-Central Table Land zone of Odisha involving Angul and Dhenkanal districts to assess the performance of different backyard poultry breeds which includes existing non-descript desi breeds and improved breeds like Vanaraja, Pallishree, Aseel and Kadaknath. Proper assessment of available micronutrient status in soil is very important as their deficiency and toxicity range in soil is quite narrow. Deficiency of micronutrient may be due to low total content of elements caused by soil factors reducing their availability to plants. The present study was taken up to identify the micronutrients status in soils of different districts of Odisha viz. Angul, Cuttack, Deogarh, Dhenkanal, Khurdha, Puri and Sambalpur.

The present study entitled “Constraints regarding Skill Training of the rural beneficiaries of Dhenkanal district of Odisha” was undertaken with a view to study the different types of problem confronted by the rural beneficiaries with respect to the training provided. Analysis of the training was done in the context of topic selected, need assessment, development of training modules, use of training methods, conductance of training, feedback mechanism to find out the effectiveness of training as well as constraints perceived by the farmers related to training programmes.

A study was undertaken under rainfed conditions to develop pond-based IFS models for smallholder farm of 1.6 ha comprising rice-onion cropping system, multilayer pisciculture, poultry and mushroom with conventional rice-green gram cropping system. Field experiments were conducted at five cluster of villages located in five different blocks viz. Khajuripada of Kandhamal district, Dhenkanal Sadar and Odapada of Dhenkanal district, Golamunda and Narla of Kalahandi district of Odisha under rainfed medium land situations during 2010-11 to 2012-13.
