It is not well-known if diagnosing and treating sleep breathing disorders among individuals with idiopathic pulmonary fbrosis (IPF) improves health outcomes. We evaluated the association between receipt of laboratory-based polysomnography (which is the first step in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep breathing disorders in Ontario, Canada) and respiratory-related hospitalization and all-cause mortality among individuals with IPF.

Infertility is becoming a major problem among the marital couples and in at least 50% of the cases, the male partners are the only contributor to the problem. Many of these men are diagnosed with no etiology and hence they are idiopathic cases. The current study was planned to generate some markers in infertile males in order to find a preventive measure that could be taken for effective cure of this serious issue.

Idiopathic adulthood ductopenia (IAD) is a chronic small duct cholestatic biliary disease that is characterized by the loss of interlobular bile ducts. It is diagnosed when there is biochemical evidence of cholestatic liver disease, ductopenia on liver biopsy, and no other identifiable cause of cholestasis. We present a patient with 10 days of progressive abdominal pain, jaundice, and worsening liver function tests who advanced to fulminant liver failure with no apparent underlying cause.

Idiopathic nephrotic syndrome (INS) is a major manifestation of chronic idiopathic glomerulonephritis and a common disease in children. The cause and pathogenesis of the disease have not been clarified so far. The treatment is usually a longterm process, from a few months to several years, even decades, including the period of hospitalisation, outpatient treatment period and follow-up period after treatment. The INS patients are negatively affected by the disease and its treatment process.
