  • Consumption of milk and milk products is expected to differ for different occupational groups due to differences in the habits and social customs. Average monthly per capita expenditure (MPCE) of Uttar Pradesh is about rupees 899 and rupees 1574 out of which per capita expenditure on food in rural and urban areas of Uttar Pradesh is about rupees 521 and rupees 728, respectively; and percentage share of food in consumer expenditure is about 57.9 percent and 46.3 percent, respectively NSSO, GOI, 2009-10.

  • The seed spices constitute an important group of agricultural commodities, playing an important role in our national economy. During 2012-13 share of seed spices in India‟s spice area and production is 7.02% and 11.82% respectively. This study was conducted during the year 2016-17. A total of 28 farmers from different categories were selected purposively from Pana (Bayana) villages of Bharatpur district of Rajasthan for conducting Front Line Demonstrations (FLDs) on their field on fennel crop.

  • The present study was conducted in four districts of Haryana state. Total 300 household from different landholding categories were selected from four villages of the selected districts. The findings of the study revealed that majorities of landless male as well as females were working as casual labour either in agriculture or in non-agriculture. Maximum time devoted by these respondents was as casual labour in non-agriculture (244 man days) followed by self-employed in non- agricultural (180 man days).

  • The present study highlights different constraints perceived by tribal aonla growers in adoption of recommended aonla production technology. The study was carried out in purposively selected Jhadol Panchayat Samiti from out of the three tribal Panchayat samities of Udaipur district of Rajasthan. The quantitative and qualitative data were collected through interview schedule, discussion, observation and available secondary sources. A list of constraints was prepared and divided in four major categories viz., technical, economical, storage, marketing and general constraints.
