This study has adopted a systematic approach to identify the extent to which 20 kHz ultrasound affects the particle size and solubility of different protein solutions containing 4%, 7% and 10% whey proteins, caseins or a mixture at a range of energy densities (15-400 J/mL) and various pH (4.0-9.0). Milk proteins hold a prominent place in the food industry as they are used in many manufactured products for their functionality and most importantly nutritional benefits.

An investigation was carried out to study the effect of different holding solution combinations on vase life of cut carnation cv. Kiro. The flowers were kept under common holding solution (sucrose 4% + 8-HQS 200 ppm) along with GA3 at 25 ppm recorded significantly highest water uptake on 6 th day (33.83 g flower-1 ) the highest transpirational loss of water (32.16 g flower-1 ) and highest fresh weight change of flower (152.38 g flower-1 ) which have extended the vase life period of carnation flower cv. Kiro.

The experiment was conducted during two consecutive years (2012-13 and 2013-14) to assess the mean performance of hybrid and parent cultivars and their response towards holding solutions. Hybrid cultivars were found to perform better than their parents for the characters under study. Among all the cultivars tested, Punjab Glance statistically at par with Punjab Glad 1 and Punjab Lemon Delight took minimum days to opening of basal floret (1.89 days). Punjab Glad 1 recorded maximum vase life (6.40 days), absorption spike-1 (75.80 ml) and per cent opening of florets.

In this study, the adsorption behavior of some low-cost adsorbents such as peanut husk charcoal, fly ash, and natural zeolite, with respect to Cu2+, and Zn2+ ions, has been studied in order to consider its application to the purification of metal finishing wastewater. The batch method was employed: parameters such as pH, contact time, and initial metal concentration were studied. The influence of the pH of the metal ion solutions on the uptake levels of the metal ions by the different adsorbents used were carried out between pH 4 and pH 11.

This paper develops an inventory model for stock-dependent demand and time varying holding cost under different trade credits, considering four different situations. The second order approximations are used for exponential terms. Optimal solutions are obtained using Mathematica 9.0 software. Numerical examples and sensitivity analysis are provided to illustrate the proposed model.

Prolog is considered difficult by students. Usually, by the time they learn Prolog, which is most likely to happen in preparation for a course in Artificial Intelligence (AI) or Expert Systems, they will have studied imperative programming and/or the object oriented paradigm. Actually, he phrased it rather differently. If you take the initial letters of the suggested title, you’ll get the drift . . . But Steve had an important point: he felt that books on object-oriented programming (OOP) frequently assumed too much prior knowledge or weren’t easily adaptable to PHP in a practical way.
