This study was taken to know the weed control efficiency of herbicides in chickpea intercropping with lentil. The weed competition was highest during 30 DAS and the maximum weed density was found in 60 and 90 DAS. Weed species were recorded such as broadleaf weeds like Coronopus didymus, Chenopodium album, Melilotus officinalis, Phalaris minor, etc. The main focus of this experiment was to study dry matter accumulation by weeds at different days after sowing (30, 60, 90, and 120).

A field experiment was conducted during rabi season of 2005-2006 at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Deendayal Research Institute, Majhagawan, Satna to studies on productivity and economic viability of various wheat based inter cropping systems under rain fed conditions of Kaymore Plateau. The experiment comprised of three intercropping treatments with different row proportions chickpea, linseed and mustard. The two years study revealed that the intercropping of wheat +chickpea in 2:2 row proportions proved better over other intercropping or mono-cropping system in terms of land equivalent ratio (1.

A field experiment was conducted during kharif, 2019 on sandy loam soils of dryland farm of S.V. Agricultural College, Tirupati campus of Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University. The results of the experiment revealed that among the different intercropping systems, little millet + greengram (4:2) (T6) recorded significantly higher plant height, leaf area index, dry matter production followed by little millet + cowpea (4:2) (T7). Lower values of these growth parameters were recorded with little millet + cluster bean (4:2) (T8).

Finger millet is an important nutritive crop of the semi-arid zones of the world and it is the staple food crops for millions of people in Africa and Asia. To achieve more sustainable production from finger millet based cropping systems intercropping and sequential cropping of finger millet with pulse and oil seeds proved better and recorded more system yield per unit area than sole cropping of finger millet. Among the different finger mill based cropping systems finger millet + legumes recorded more sustainable yield and less weeds, insects and diseases infestation in the crop.
