The 2-methyl-4-nitroaniline (NA) was converted into the raw material N-benzyl-2-methyl-4-nitroaniline (BNA), and the solubility of BNA in various organic solvents was calculated gravimetrically. BNA’s solubility and crystal structure make it an excellent solvent for the low-temperature solution growth method used to create single crystals of BNA with orthorhombic structure studied through single crystal analysis.

The study "Effect of glycerol concentration on physical and texture properties of edible films prepared from karaya gum" formulated edible films based on karaya gum in the presence of glycerol. Physical properties of films were investigated by various methods including texture analysis and differential scanning calorimeter (DSC).

Segmented polyurethanes were synthesized by the reactions of poly(ε-caprolactone) (PCL)-diol and 1,6- hexamethylene diisocyanate through bulk polymerization without using solvent, initiator, or catalyst. Phase separation and hydrogen bond formation between hard segments or between hard and soft segments were examined by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR)-ATR and X-ray diffraction (XRD), while physical and mechanical properties were studied by atomic force microscope, differential scanning calorimeter, dynamic mechanical analysis, and tensile tester.

This paper will present and discuss heat treatment of EVA and the extent to which EVA is cured (gel content) using heat treatment, and its correlation to solubility and differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) curves. Based on the correlation between the DSC and solubility techniques performed on a given EVA, the treatment needed to obtain sufficient curing can be deduced.

The liquid benzoxazine monomer was characterized by 1 HNMR and FTIR spectroscopy. Curing characteristics at different temperatures were studied and monitored by differential scanning calorimeter (DSC). The appearance of two exothermic peaks associated with reaction of double bonds of the aliphatic side–chain and ring opening polymerization of benzoxazine. High thermal stability of the polymer sample was confirmed by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA).

Bài báo trình bày những kết quả nghiên cứu các mẫu gạch cổ xây tháp Chàm Mỹ Khánh, Thừa Thiên Huế. Kết quả phân tích thành phần hóa học, (X-ray diffraction) XRD, (Thermal gravity - Differential scanning calorimeter) TG - DSC, (Scanning Electron Microscope) SEM, và độ hút vôi của các mẫu gạch cho thấy chúng được sản xuất từ dất sét với chấu, rơm rạ, và nung kết khối ở nhiệt độ dưới 900 độ C. Đây là loại gốm xốp giàu SiO2 hoạt tính, có tính axit, không bền trong môi trường có tính bazơ như xi măng.
